      @flynlow43 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Shermanbay true. Most bank jobs that allow you to access sensitive, personal info, like ssn, dob, card numbers etc. Require a deep background check, fingerprints sent to the FBI and more. It's a deeper check than the normal. Of course it could happen but highly unlikely. When I was training for my job, (fraud dept of a large bank), we were shown the deep web where you can literally buy card numbers, names, addresses, ssn numbers for $5. If people at least attempted to secure their info, it would help. No, it's easier to be careless, fall for every stupid scam there is, then blame the bank.

    Chase only refunded her cause of the bad press..the banks don't owe you anything if you got scammed unfortunately

    • @flynlow43
      @flynlow43 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Absolutely true. With Zelle. They are an instant payment processor, so when the money is gone, it's gone for good. The bank isn't able to get it back, so they aren't going to just give it to you. Second note, Zelle says in their disclaimer when you sign up, they do not offer fraud protection. Therefore, regulation E doesn't pertain to them. The reg that says banks have to refund you if scammed. That only applies to merchant transactions. That way, the bank will refund you but can get the money back from the merchant. No bank is just going to hand you money because you were careless.

    They moved from old people who were generally more trusting to younger people that trust technology.. Simple rule is NEVER talk about your accounts unless YOU contact the bank..Bank Fraud Dept may contact you but always get a name and call them back.. Will save a lot of frustration & grief.. Customer should be required to ENABLE WIRE TRANSFERS to other institutions, preferably at a branch office. And a separate security code should be required to wire transfer. And Mobile check apps PIX technology needs to be improved Significantaly.
