Looks like explorer has tendency for cravatt already on take off. Even 777 Queen does not make such a thing at complicated weather condition at start. What you think?
Yes indeed, it seems on the video that the tendency for "cravatt" is there. But you have to differentiate between groundhandling and real flight. There are sometimes paragliders, like the Colt2 from Dudek, that show such a behaviour. But, like the Colt 2, it did not show the same beahiour with big closers during flight tests at all. So from my point of view I agree with you that during the groundhandling it happened that the explorer had a tendency that the tips got stuck a little bit, but with the wind conditions that day I could not brake too much to open the tips. Otherwise the canopy would have dropped. We had not much time to test the explorer and therefore I would be very careful to conclude that the explorer will show the same behaviour when flying in real conditions... I tend to say that in most cases the brakes will open the tips...
