Mystery of the Forgotten House...and the Body Found Inside!

- Today we explore the house of Peter. Peter was born in 1924. Not alot of information could be picked up through this location which made it very hard to gather anything for the history.
We know he had a sister who was born in 1928 & died in March 2019. Peter died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 90 in December 2016. The house now sits abandoned falling to pieces with everything left behind.

the little crochet duck is a boiled egg cover, keeps your eggs warm whilst in their egg cups. The fabric cover with cottage design on top is a kettle cover. Keeps water warm/tea warm
The rug may be hanging on steps to help hold heat downstairs in cold weather,that's a bamboo cane,looks like a cover for toaster laying in kitchen,nice little find,shame house falling in on that antiques furniture
The thing in the kitchen was a tea cosy to go over your tea pot to keep your tea hotter for longer
The small cut crystal bottle with stopper is not salt, it's probably smelling salts. I remember my nan's house. There was always a small bottle of smelling salts at her and her friends places. We tried it as kids, almost knocked us out, hehe.

You gave me heart failure in there its so dangerous especially when you touched the curtain and a bit of the wall fell off 😅 sad to see thats nearly the end of the house and the story's it held over the years you were lucky to get to see it because I don't think it will be standing much longer well done for sharing.

That's so sad, after seeing the amount of decay, the house must have been crumbling while the man still lived in it. at 24:06 it looked like a men's razor inside, the Schick type that you put blades in.

Thank you for taking your time going through this wonderful house .Loved the pictures in bedroom sadly this house looks as though it will a pile of rubble soon 😢 You can see it was once a loved house so sad no one taking care of it any longer . One of the photos in the frame in this video I have seen the same photo in another frame in an American explore of an elderly lady .
They obviously are related to have the exact same photo.

The rug across the stairs would be for keeping down drafts between the floors and keep heat downstairs. The walking stick handle was made of a deer antler.

The fabric cover is a teapot cover (a tea cosy) not a kettle. To keep the tea warm. But as suggested on the earlier on the right lines.
Hello, the carpet hanging across the foot of the stairs is to stop draughts and alternately to stop the heat from rising up the stairs when you are heating the downstairs. We have stairs in our sitting room and a lot of the houses in the same street have either had a door put on or have a curtain fitted across for the same thing. These are the secrets of frugality lost on a generation used to modern day architecture 😂

I think you must of visited this house before finders beepers as they had to use that ladder near the loft hatch to get out the building lol and I’m pretty sure they didn’t go back in to put it back 😂

Hi Chris and Meg's the carpet at the side of the foot of the stairs in the beginning would have been to keep the cold drafts from the front door from howling up the stairs in Winter time.
The little thing in with the green shoe looked like a shaving razor.

16:23 Hard to believe but it is a vase. You put florists foam in the bottom and push the flowers into the foam so they stay in place.

10:58 end of walking cane could be an antler from a deer. 18:25 Well that might confirm what I thought…the occupant was a hunter so now we know why the Pheasant taxidermy was in one of the rooms and a lot of bits and pieces were made from animal products. 22:08 had a laugh I have the exact same radio. 32:49 What is it that moves near the left hand side of the wardrobe?
