Great preview of the assembly process and goes to shows this is better suited to a thinkerer and I wouldn't recommend to a novice or something that doesn't have the tools needed. Personally I would love to build one of these. As a safety precaution I would recommend more caution around the power supply, especially about insulating that bottom facing part with the circuit board with something more suitable than simple duck tape as a more pointier pin can poke through the tape, maybe a thin fr4 circuit pcb without any traces. Also i wonder if imf interference to the electronics has been considered as the power supply is missing its metal sheelding.
Hey by the way this video did not need to be recorded in hdr lol, the bits with the schematics where eye-searingly bright, great video though keep up the good work 🤘
Okay I’m absolutely in love with this concept but what are the differences between your kit and the other positron kits besides price? Is there a huge difference in quality or any missing features?
I didn't include the software setup because it was not intended to be a full build tutorial, rather an overview of the build. The software has well documented steps in the build guide with linked videos.
We only have a partial build kit but we are happy to help you on discord with self sourcing the other parts voxolite.com/products/journeymaker-custom-part-kit
Always wanted to build a Positron. Was going to wait for the LDO kit to come out, but this kit is so reasonably priced. What parts need to be self sourced if you get the custom parts bundle?
Here is the link to the full list of materials docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nYiwHz63ZsrtXtIAmWYqItgidqx7duSCUeQ9fUIy6CY/edit Who knows if LDO is ever going to realise that kit. Lol
@@mcfazio4283 yeah could be a while. Looks like the only additional components are the electronics? Motors, thermistor, heating cartridge etc. Is that right?
Absolutely bonkers, such a cool 3d printer
Dude, this is seriously impressive. Very cool!
Great video! Inspiring and confidence building for the future of the positron/journeymaker project
Amazing. Still not cheap, like you expect in DIY, anyway thx for posting this video - inspiring. Mb some day i'll make one in that design.
Great Video, Really love the color scheme
Such an amazing product !!!
Looking good can't to see what you do next
Thank you for the information
Awesome 3D printer 👍

@@nerd20fromdiscord thank you, I appreciate the comment and I’ll keep it in mind for the next one :)
Loved the video

Terrific!
What if I can't print ABS tho? Also you skipped over the software part
I know they have the ABS parts available at a fairly reasonable price on their webstore

If you cant print ABS you can get them here

Please sell a kit with absolutely all components so we can just buy and assemble.

It looks great! Now...just to decided the colors and get the money... sad the wife doesn't desire to have any imput in any form...
Awesome! How much did it cost to build the printer?
Roughly, $540USD. More info can be found in the BOM linked in the Github and Voxolite.com
Will the spacers for the motor shaft modification be included in the build kit?
Assuming your referring to the cutting guide printed parts. You join our discord server and DM me and we can add them in for you :)
interesting video, are you interested in reviewing Fixdry filament dryer box?
dm me on discord and we can talk
