  • Tour of Crystal City, Arlington county Virginia. Video also includes dashcam of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
Crystal City is an urban neighborhood in the southeastern corner of Arlington County , Virginia, south of downtown Washington DC.
Cystal City is centered along a stretch of U.S. Route 1, also known as Richmond Highway, east of Pentagon City, and within walking distance to the west of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
On November 13, 2018, Amazon announced that it had selected Arlington as the location for its new second headquarters (HQ2).
An epicenter of innovation and technology - and the home of Amazon HQ2 - fast-transforming Crystal City stands tall and proud.
Construction on Amazon's HQ2 is currently underway, with Phase 1 recently opened and phase 2 is unfortunately halted for now.
Crystal City offers its residents both an urban and suburban feel. Among the massive skyscrapers and glass buildings, there are blocks of quiet residential areas. One thing to keep in mind is that it's a very expensive place to live in.

Definitely is. I am seeing a lot of new construction in this little city, and I hate that it's getting very expensive because of Amazon 2nd headquarters moving in. Overall, it is a great city and located just a few miles from DC.

Hey, I'm not from here but why don't you build a larger city. You can do it.

Hey, good idea, why don't you build a larger city. Start today. Let us see it when you're finished. Thanks.

Boring area -- mostly defense contractors feeding off the Pentagon and the hotels to accomodate their clientele. Traffic is awful and housing prices through the roof as it's mostly condominium living at it's best. If the noise from Reagan Airport doesn't get to you, the noise from steady traffic will. I felt "hemmed" in living there with old town Alexandria as an escape (that too is overcrowded and overpriced) My friend still lives in Rosslyn which in itself is condo-hell, is a nervous wreck and it's all due to working 6-6 as a DoD Contractor; stops work at 16:30, must commute (1 hour to/from), and has to plan in advance any liesure time activities as none exist in the immediate areas except malls and movie theaters; anywhere else requies advance reservations. I escaped NOVA and live so comfortably now with a quiet atmosphere.
Beautiful place yes, but stressful as all get up.
