Fishing for Papio with HOMEMADE Flies! | Hawaii Fishing |

In this Saltwaters Hawaii episode, I use more of Colton's homemade flies! It was a very windy day but I had lots of hope. This was my second time using flies and I didn't know what to expect. After a few minutes I hooked a small Lai. I was very proud of that until I hooked a 2.2 pound Papio right at the ledge. I was so surprised and happy after landing my biggest Papio on the fly!

Dat omilu looked around 2lbs nice one on the fly and by the way bubble fly setup is one of my favorite ways to go for papio dat top water explosion is always epic

Quick tip: If you're fishing with a bubble floater fill it up before you put it on your line.

hey man I've been fly fishing on Maui for about 24 yrs if you learn to fly fish you can tie sick flies that work amazing and catch big ulua, if you want to see what you can do with a fly rod look for videos from Alphonso fly fishing for GT in the Seychelles
