Dodge Direct Connection Stage II Fail!!!

- My 2020 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye Super Stock. No power when stage II kit installed by Dodge, bad pulley they said. Then warning active dampening system kept appearing on the dash when at WOT. Next up the 100 octane tune would not engage after about a month of use. I only run 100 octane in the car. The hasn't seen 91 since the first week of December. The car is still hitting the rev limiter because I have no trans tune on my Direct Connection hand held computer module. I will keep at it.
Also in San Diego, have a redeye charger. Was considering the Direct Connect Stage II install out in Temecula as well to avoid any state referals with emissions complianance. Though, based on your dealer experience and your car meet video lining up with the goofy gremlin decal charger on the freeway. Honestly looks like the factory tune doesn't pack the advertised punch. Would you recommend it?
The stage II isn’t a great tune kit. The car is faster overall but the 60 foot suffers as a drag racer. It is all top end. Only got a tenth better out of it in the 1/4 mile. That Charger in the video is putting down 1000 hp. I might be putting down 800 hp. The Charger is clearly faster.
It runs pretty good for a factory car. I remember you saying electric was taking over and theses cars would disappear. I pray this agenda completely falls apart. Nice car.

Good to see the SS. Too bad all the problems. Are you able to monitor PCM input/output parameters w/ stage 2 e.g. Throttle Torque Source or see the tune files and values the way HP Tuners will allow? Was the time slip a PB? Looks like that extra HP showed up on the big end of the track. ;-)
Yes, I can monitor and that is how I found out it was hitting the rev limiter. All issues will be ironed out in time.
I've had my direct connect stage kit 2 installed by lodi CDJR since last year and have zero issues. Wonder when stage 3 will be released
Some people say it will never be released. If comes around I will also give it a try. I keep the stock tune and pulley if I ever want to put it back to stock as bought.
If the belt isn't slipping, which you'd hear or see rubber dust under the hood, my bet is the bypass valve is stuck open or opening to bleed boost. How do the AFRs look during a pull?

No. The pulleys decoupler would not lock in place.
Ah, Interesting. Swapped for a new pulley and all good now? Nice. How's she pull on race gas now? Much stronger than stock?@@GaryHairfield
New pulley and good. It has more power, I just have to get the transmission to shift correctly now.
The trans tune doesn’t actually work. They actually advise it to upload the option. But they’re working on making it available!!
I never even got the option for the trans tune.
I'm having no boost either, 0 boost after stage 2 was installed last week. So its a pulley need to be replaced?
Most likely. Take it back in as it is under warranty. I don't think they test drive them after install.
Have the same warning on my 20 redeye, i also have the stage 2 kit , and it was the 2nd Temecula did , they fixed it also, but still get that "service active stearing dampening system sometimes
That service alert went away after a couple hundred miles on it. It went away slowly, coming on less and less under WOT.
Glad the dealer…. Fixed… the issue haha. Just had to tighten that upper pulley I bet. Or it was belt slip.
They had to replace the pulley, it was bad. At least that’s what they told me.

@@Megatron797 yeah buddy, this isn’t the first time that I’ve heard about this but that’s what warranties are for. That said, I’m glad that I still have my Stage 1 for now….
All wrong! I had the same issue when I had Lodi CDJR install my stage 2 kit in my Redeye! Lost all boost and come to find out it’s a faulty pulley. You may have to settle for the stage 1 kit.

Im about to send my Redeye to Temecula from San Diego. Did they fix it?
Yes, fixed under warranty. The new pulley seems to be hit and miss. Just make sure it has boost once installed.
Any updates on the Transmission tune?
Yes, I got a custom tune in it now. Ran it all day at the track and never hit the limiter and is shifting high in the RPM range like it should.

I got stage 1 and I got boost I’m not getting stage 2 for my hellcat I’m fine with 757 hp
I don't blame you. I wish I has never done stage II, was not worth the hassle.
Relax. I'm sure it will be fine. Did you throw a belt. Open the hood and look.
