Interesting that ABC borrowed their College Football theme at that time for their College Basketball coverage. I have to say, tho, I love the rearrangement.

Came here from KenPom. I think it's fine to play through the final whistle. The funniest part is that this North Dakota game had a big fight, but Gonzaga scored with no shot clock against SOUTH Dakota the very same night in a game they won 102-65 and I was a bit surprised but if walk-ons and bench players that only get to play a few minutes per season decide to take a shot, how mad should we really get?

I never knew Keith Jackson did college basketball for ABC. How long did he do it for?

1987 through 1991(5 seasons) He gradually cut back his assignments with ABC in the early 90's to mainly College Football

This was his last year doing college basketball. During a 1991 Indiana/ Ohio State game (which went double overtime), Dickie V. remarked "This is better than football, Keith!", to which Keith replied "Oh, _no,_ it isn't!". The next season, Keith was replaced by Roger Twibell.

Dick Vitale is the worst! He was just the death of legitimate sports announcing. He single-handedly killed it. Before him, there was intelligent analysis of a game and its actors, both players and coaches. Since his shtick started to play, it's more and more some "fan" just ranting and raving the same way they would, if they were sitting on their couch at home w/ their friends. His entire repertoire consists of yelling stupid catch-phrases that have no bearing on anything. It's really pathetic and incredibly annoying.
