    Great video!
    Could you please explain how do you factor in furniture cost in the hourly pricing model? Thanks! ❤️

    • @SandySaintilus
      @SandySaintilus  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's the same thing as a fixed rate model. You would charge the client whatever you want to charge for the furniture then they pay you for furniture and you buy the furniture for them. On top of that you'd also charge your hourly rate.

      Most places require it. That and your biz license.

    Hey Sandy how can you charge a customer who lives out of state? Do i create a moodboard for them & have them place the items in their home or how does that work?Also, are the vendors able to do blind shipping?

    • @SandySaintilus
      @SandySaintilus  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just now seeing this comment. Not all vendors drop-ship to clients so sometimes you have to use a receiveing compnay that's local to your client. You can chanre out of state clients by sending an online invoice the same way you would a normal client. I highly recommed sending them samples before you present the moodboard to them. This will help sell your design more.

    Can you have the item shipped directly to the clients home? Or do items have to be received and delivered from your home business?

    • @SandySaintilus
      @SandySaintilus  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can have items shipped to a client's home, but the client will have to store everything there at their home and that can get bothersome. Also there a ton of logistics of receiving the furniture. Some places charge extra to bring it inside and set it up and take all the boxes and packaging. If you have it delivered to the client's home and you're not there to coordinate the delivery then the client is responsible for all of that and they might call you if something goes wrong or shows up broken.

    Hey sandy, I'm planning to be a full-time interior designer in the future. I'm a sophomore this year and I wanna know, can you work remotely as an interior designer? Also is there remote charging hourly? So meeting/calls will be for the ONLY one that I work for?

    • @SandySaintilus
      @SandySaintilus  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup! You can work remotely as a designer full-time. Most people I know who do this either work for e-design companies or they have their own virtual design business.

    • @koro9889
      @koro9889 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So what basically should I do to be a remotely full-time interior designer? Who should I go to or speak with to be a full-time remotely interior designer?

    • @SandySaintilus
      @SandySaintilus  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@koro9889 You should look up e-design companies like Havenly or Modsy. Those are good places to get started.

    • @koro9889

    How much do interior designers make when they have their own business?

    • @SandySaintilus
      @SandySaintilus  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on the designer and their business savvy. I wish I had a uniform answer to give you. However mot people's business aren't profitable for at least 3 years. I have two desinger friedns who's buisness's make 6 figures. Just keep in mind that's their buisness income and not what they take home in their pockets.
