Sounds like it's time to adjust the valves, and it's definitely too lean, you can hear the pre-detenation, even in the mid range. What fuel are you guys using? Those Saitos like no less than 15% nitro with a castor/synthetic blend. Nice saves.
Thanks for watching and coment. This is saito fg 30cc gas. Valves was adjusted on that peticilar day was most likely to lean but this engine is suffering from uneven idle and super sensitivity to carb adjustments. I went through all so far this summer and didn't find the definitive problem. Shame because the first season was good and smooth performer. I agree 100% with 15% plus nitro content in glow version.
@johna.s.3847 I wish I had the answer. I own this engine for 3 seasons. First... very hood performer second... uneven idle, and this summer, despite my best effort, I can't get to run.😒
Wow. ! How old is that plane ??? I had 3 total. All was the red s2 I bought 1. And the tail broke off. They sent another ! The fire wall came off. The third one. Was a catastrophic wing failure. And I was done. Engine done as well.
Hi thanks for watching. I will say way over 20years. This one is holding well after 12/15 flights, but I have reinforced the firewall and landing gear fuselage section very well. If it wasn't for the saito mystery... this will definitely be one of my favourites rc.
too rich/too lean loosing spark ⚡️ what i’d do is strap it down ground run at the same speed you fly varying wide open some idle back to wide open she may need to be advanced some to retard a bit she may be up to speed getting to rich or too lean. getting too much fuel to not enough. run her real good say about a quarter tank see if she quit on the ground. she may want more heat to warm up then taxi then scoot to flying. inspect spark plugs/ glow plugs depending on what she has.
Glad to see that there was no damage to the model.
The 2nd deadstick should have been your last. Two in a row like that means it's not your day. Nice flying, though.
@@horrido666 Agreed. Thanks for watching and coment

Cool that did not broke

@carloshnunez Thanks for watching. Yeah I was glad to...
Curious as to what is the cause of engine quitting. Fuel tank clunk or tube?
