I love that observation... it actually is extremely stressful to be a criminal attorney. More often than not you are speaking with poor people who are down on their luck in bad situations and there is often not much you can do to help even if they can afford it. The law only does so much.
I actually couldn’t watch this movie for the longest time because I practically lived it. My exs mom said those very words, “what did you do?” And leaving nearly killed me!

Oh man if y'all enjoyed this one you should check out Sleeping with the Enemy. It's so hard to watch but along the same lines as this one.
This movie is about empowering women and bringing awareness to domestic violence. Why encourage a couple of immature pieces of shit to watch SWTE if they are going to take the piss and giggle through the whole thing like a couple of school boys? They are utterly disgusting and pathetic.

Enough wasn't a big film at the time nor taking serious, but over the years its become a cult classic and a well loved film.
It's all fun and games until you are the mom that has to make that decision...

Y'all are so funny! I love this movie so much, thank you for reacting to it. I have been waiting for more reactors to get into JLo's filmography, but people are stubborn. Badass JLo can't be beat. I remember the frontal male nudity was such a big deal back then. Anaconda (1997), Out of Sight (1998), The Cell (2000), and Enough (2002) are her darker classics. The Wedding Planner (1999), Maid in Manhattan (2002), & Monster-in-Law (2005) are her rom-com classics. I even liked her in Parker (2013) with Jason Statham. So many reactors just follow what everyone else is doing, but this is how you get ahead of the algorithm trends. With What Lies Beneath (2000) recently on sale again, I'm waiting to see more people react to that Michelle Pfeiffer & Harrison Ford domestic thriller classic. Also, check out Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2004) the spy couple, action comedy that made Brangelina a thing. Directed by Doug Liman who also did Bourne Identity (2002) and Edge of Tomorrow (2014). Men can watch and enjoy female-led films!
