Twisted FabCo and some quality dampers are a game changer! As I’m sure you’ve seen in the FB group. I believe he even makes a basic stock replacement size, along with the various stages..
My only ultrascale crawler is my fcx10-K5 I have added a winch and metal bumpers since hte chrome plastic ones were so easy to scratch. It came with a tire upgrade and I have been quite happy with it. Replaced the front servo and one of the shift servo's and it runs great. Too big to be a comp crawler but surprisingly good for what it is.
The fcX10 is a great platform with all the options. You've done some great work on it! They have a new simplified version coming up and that should be awesome too.
Ok lil cofused u started by say some upgrades then as its coming off trailer u say stock so is this an upgrade from previousely sold product & damn it is an eyepeice👍love a good hardbody whith leafs & i have had my HG 409 for some time unbuilt debating 4link front & back to make it a decent crawler 🤷♂️whats your thoughts should i build it as it comes but get or make better springs & maybe some ladder bars cause i kina like old school & thats something like how i built my 82 GMC long bed years ago but was always wishing i went with a 4 link But it was an everyday driver & i plowed with it also & what i would have had to use for a 4link well back then most of it would have had to of been custom made & i just remember being like i get springs made & build ladder bars in a few days who knows how long a 4link would have taken & it wasnt something u could just utube & copy it lol 25-30yrs back😂but love all your vids use them for refrence all the time 👍ty for being 👈you
Man, it makes no sense to me that so many "crawler" manufacturers don't provide proper "crawler" esc/motor components. Most come with fast walking, jogging, or even running drive train combos that won't hold the vehicle on an incline with the throttle released, and thus require immediate replacement to get them to crawl properly. It's a dick move, and I'm tired of it.

Wow awesome video my friend,, and cool rc car 👍👍💯
I had that tonka RV when I was a kid, probably late 70s early 80s. so cool what you did with it.
It's a little nostalgic, isn't it? I never had one so I'm making up for lost time.
@@RCReviewChannel you did an awesome job,, RCs sure have come a long way from the ones I had as a kid, 4 D Batteries that died after an hour,
The lights , so much Better
It's the little things.
That engine bay 🔥 scale as good as it gets

At that price point it should have the R3 two speed in not the single
True. That would be a most welcome addition.
I got the red and it’s so good I want the blue one too 😢
Rrrrright? Someone in my crawling crew needs to get the other color so my truck can have a buddy.
Awesome video. Theres something magical about rc4wd. It’s ultra scale platform really test the driver.

Really a lovely car. No shame in buying it just to make it a shelf queen. 👍
can you do a video on how to install these new parts? mostly interested in ESC + motor
Ok, I will do that for sure.
@@RCReviewChannel sweet! Thanks !
How well do they perform with leaf springs
It has leaf springs right now. It's half decent but it could be so much better.
Really needs a hobbywing fusion to stop that jerking
Exactly!! Rotor control is a game-changer
Very cool
I'm pretty stoked.
Its a beauty , hands down . Too much for another shelf queen .

But it was an everyday driver & i plowed with it also & what i would have had to use for a 4link well back then most of it would have had to of been custom made & i just remember being like i get springs made & build ladder bars in a few days who knows how long a 4link would have taken & it wasnt something u could just utube & copy it lol 25-30yrs back😂but love all your vids use them for refrence all the time 👍ty for being 👈you
I like the way it looks but don’t like the way the suspension moves. Too bouncy and looks too toyish the way it crawls.
Exactly. That's the next level of mods coming in. I heard Twisted Fab Co makes leafs that will put this to the next level.

It’s really nice but at the end of the day I have like 7 of their trail finders and it all becomes the same stuff after so many
Yes, true!!! But if someone is looking for their first RC4WD scaler... this may be the one.
@@RCReviewChannel Didn’t think about that 👌 very true
It is a nice truck.
It's a keeper for sure.
