In the 5th chapter of the Shir haShirim ( שיר השירים ), which is one of the five megillot or Sacred Scrolls that are part of the Hebrew Bible or for short the "Song of Solomon" (also called "Song of Songs"). That chapter is giving a prophecy about an individual to come, a mystery man. Song of Songs 5:15 compares this prophetic mystery man to the land of "Lebanon" which is the land of the Arabs. This implies that the mystery man would be an Arab. Verse 15 of the NIV Bible says: “His appearance is like Lebanon", so this is an Arabic gentleman (or Arab looking). In reading the English translation of Song of Songs 5:16 it finishes the description by saying: "He is altogether lovely" but what most people don't know is that the name of that man was given in the original megilot. Here is the name written in ancient Hebrew as it appears in verse sixteen: מחמד . It is read as : "Mahammad". Hi…Song of Solomon 5:16 actually reads…’His speech is most sweet, and he is altogether desirable. This is my beloved and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem’. Song of Solomon (or Song of Songs) is a very beautiful and poetic account of human love and passion between man and woman. As you can see, in the verse he quotes, Muhammad is not mentioned. The woman is admiring her man. That gentleman’s scholarship is incorrect in this instance. I’ve actually seen a video where he calls upon God to silence him if he is wrong in this matter. The video goes on to claim he was later struck dumb and remained in that condition until he passed from this life. I don’t know if that claim is true or not. I’m not here to troll, I’m Christian, and like to listen to Muslim commentators to ensure I’m hearing other people’s points of view about things going on in the world today. Please excuse me addressing this delicate subject here, but I thought it necessary to offer you the correct understanding of that verse from Jewish and Christian Scripture. Jewish people reject the notion that Jesus is the Messiah; they are still awaiting the arrival of the Messiah. So from their perspective, the servant of Isaiah 42 stands as an unfulfilled prophecy of nearly three thousand years as their Messiah is yet to arrive. Now there is a serious issue with this understanding. We’ve already seen that the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) fulfils all the criteria mentioned in Isaiah 42, so the question must be asked: why would Isaiah set out criteria that can be fulfilled by individual (Prophet Muhammad) other than the Messiah, if it is indeed the Messiah to whom Isaiah 42 refers? If Isaiah is speaking of the Messiah, then we would expect that he would set out criteria that only the Messiah can fulfil. Otherwise it defeats the purpose of prophecy in the first place, because prophecies are supposed to be specific. Because we can see from the Gospel of John (1:19-21) that the Jews were waiting for the fulfillment of 3 distinct prophecies: The Christ, The Elijah And The 3rd was the coming of the Prophet (Muhammad ﷺ. An Arabian prophet mentioned in Isaiah 42:11 to fulfill the prophecies of Isaiah 42.) Now from the point of view of both Christians and Muslims, Jesus is indeed the Messiah. Now If we compare the characteristics of Isaiah 42 with the life and teachings of Jesus as they are portrayed in the New Testament, then the Messiah Jesus falls short in fulfilling the prophecy. For example, Isaiah 42 states that the servant will not cry out:He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets. [Isaiah 42:2] This disqualifies Jesus, who complained and literally cried out directly to GOD, according to the Bible, at many points in his ministry: From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My GOD, my GOD, why have you forsaken me?”). [Matthew 27:45-46] Actually Jesus spoke Aramaic which is the language that was closely intertwined with Arabic. He said "Eli, Eli" which sounds a little like "Illa, illa" pretty much like "Illah" in Arabic A Prophet like unto Moses. There were hardly any two prophets who were so much alike as Moses and Muhammad. Both were given comprehensive law code of life, both encountered their enemies and were victors in miraculous ways, both were accepted as prophets/statesmen and both migrated to (Midian/Medinah) following conspiracies to assassinate them. Both (Moses and Muhammad) enabled their followers to conquer the Palastine. The natural birth, family life and death of Moses and Muhammad (ﷺ) but not Jesus. (Peace be upon them all) 📖 Deuteronomy 18:15 Moses continued, “The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brethren (your brother tribe; the Arabs).. You must listen to him. Since "from your midst" does not appear in either the ancient Greek Old Testament (the Septuagint) or the Samaritan Pentateuch, the original text must state the prophet would come from the relatives of the Israelites, the descendants of Ishmael, the Arabs. King James Bible 📖 The LORD thy GOD will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; GOD of Bible said in 📖 Duetornomy 18:20 that false prophet from their nearby brother tribe (the Arabs) must die without fulfilling the prophecies of duetornomy 18:18 as well as Isaiah 42. GOD of Bible also informed us that the true prophet (Muhammad ﷺ) from their nearby brother tribe (the Arabs) would talk about the same GOD of Moses and fulfill the prophecies of duetornomy 18:18 as well as Isaiah 42. Just bcz something in one language sounds like another word in another language it doesn’t mean they are talking about the same thing. Ahmed Deedat was WRONG. The Old Testament or Tanakh in Hebrew was written in Imperial Aramaic first, then in Syriac, then in Demotic Greek and Koine Greek... The Nicene Creed of 325 AD was written in Koine Greek, while the Vulgate of Jerome was written in Latin circa 385 AD. It was translated into Hebrew (Habiru) by the Massorah scholars of Palestine and Mesopotamian Iraq. Hebrew was devised by the Massorah (Masoretes in Greek) during the latter half of the 9th Century CE (850-900 AD). Hebrew as a spoken or written language did NOT EXIST BEFORE THE 9TH CENTURY CE!! The earliest Hebrew language Tanakhs were the Aleppo or Halabi Codex dated to 916 AD and the Cairo (Leningrad) Codex dated to 1008 AD... Nonetheless, it DOES NOT CHANGE THE FACT THAT MUHAMMAD IS STATED ONCE IN THE OLD TESTAMENT.

Ahmed Deedat is a great scholar who is an expert in twisting the Bible as per his wishes. Mohammed is not mentioned in Bible. The word that he quotes is from Song of Solomon 5:16. The Hebrew word is Machmad which in plural is machmadiym. This Hebrew word occurs in 1 Kgs 20:6; 2 Chr 36:19; Song 5:16; Isa 64:10; Lam 1:7; Lam 1:10; Lam 1:11; Lam 2:4; Ezek 24:16; Ezek 24:21; Ezek 24:25; Hos 9:6; Hos 9:16; Joel 4:5. Does it mean Mohammed in all these places?? This has no connection with Mohammed. ⓂFACT: THE WORD "MUHAMMAD" IN THE BIBLE (IN ORIGINAL HEBREW)
The name "Muhammad" is written in the Bible in the original Hebrew language.
In the 5th chapter of the Shir haShirim ( שיר השירים ), which is one of the five megillot or Sacred Scrolls that are part of the Hebrew Bible or for short the "Song of Solomon" (also called "Song of Songs"). That chapter is giving a prophecy about an individual to come, a mystery man.
Song of Songs 5:15 compares this prophetic mystery man to the land of "Lebanon" which is the land of the Arabs. This implies that the mystery man would be an Arab.
Verse 15 of the NIV Bible says: “His appearance is like Lebanon", so this is an Arabic gentleman (or Arab looking).
Verse 11 says: "his head is as the most fine gold, his locks are
wavy, and black as a raven". Verse 10 describes this man as being "radiant and ruddy" which means he was slightly light-skinned with a rosy color. This physical description matches exactly with the authentic Islamic sources.
Sahih Al Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 56, Number 747, says Muhammad was slightly light skinned, with a rosy color (and has the same hair as is mentioned in verse 11)
Song of Songs 5:10 says: "My beloved is white and ruddy, pre-eminent above ten thousand." This is a prophecy of Prophet Muhammad as he conquered Mecca. It is a well known historically documented fact that in the year 630 CE Muhammad entered Mecca as the leader of an army of "ten thousand men".
In reading the English translation of Song of Songs 5:16 it finishes the description by saying: "He is altogether lovely" but what most people don't know is that the name of that man was given in the original megilot. Here is the name written in ancient Hebrew as it appears in verse sixteen: מחמד . It is read as : "Mahammad".
Hebrew: חִכּוֹ, מַמְתַקִּים, וְכֻלּוֹ, מַחֲמַדִּים; זֶה דוֹדִי וְזֶה רֵעִי, בְּנוֹת יְרוּשָׁלִָם.
English: His mouth is most sweet; yea, he is ALTOGETHER LOVELY. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.
There is a plural used together with this Hebrew word, with
the plural it’s pronounced “Mahamadd-im”. The ending letters 'im' is a plural of respect, majesty and grandeur for God’s prophet, just as in the word Eloh-im.
According to Ben Yehuda's Hebrew-English Dictionary, it is correctly pronounced as "Mahammad".
If you don't believe it, go to these translator links, paste the name מחמד and then translate it into English. You will see that מחמד is translated as "Muhammad".

Hi…Song of Solomon 5:16 actually reads…’His speech is most sweet, and he is altogether desirable. This is my beloved and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem’. Song of Solomon (or Song of Songs) is a very beautiful and poetic account of human love and passion between man and woman. As you can see, in the verse he quotes, Muhammad is not mentioned. The woman is admiring her man. That gentleman’s scholarship is incorrect in this instance. I’ve actually seen a video where he calls upon God to silence him if he is wrong in this matter. The video goes on to claim he was later struck dumb and remained in that condition until he passed from this life. I don’t know if that claim is true or not. I’m not here to troll, I’m Christian, and like to listen to Muslim commentators to ensure I’m hearing other people’s points of view about things going on in the world today. Please excuse me addressing this delicate subject here, but I thought it necessary to offer you the correct understanding of that verse from Jewish and Christian Scripture. Jewish people reject the notion that Jesus is the Messiah; they are still awaiting the arrival of the Messiah. So from their perspective, the servant of Isaiah 42 stands as an unfulfilled prophecy of nearly three thousand years as their Messiah is yet to arrive. Now there is a serious issue with this understanding. We’ve already seen that the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) fulfils all the criteria mentioned in Isaiah 42, so the question must be asked: why would Isaiah set out criteria that can be fulfilled by individual (Prophet Muhammad) other than the Messiah, if it is indeed the Messiah to whom Isaiah 42 refers? If Isaiah is speaking of the Messiah, then we would expect that he would set out criteria that only the Messiah can fulfil. Otherwise it defeats the purpose of prophecy in the first place, because prophecies are supposed to be specific.
Because we can see from the Gospel of John (1:19-21) that the Jews were waiting for the fulfillment of 3 distinct prophecies: The Christ, The Elijah And The 3rd was the coming of the Prophet (Muhammad ﷺ. An Arabian prophet mentioned in Isaiah 42:11 to fulfill the prophecies of Isaiah 42.)
Now from the point of view of both Christians and Muslims, Jesus is indeed the Messiah. Now If we compare the characteristics of Isaiah 42 with the life and teachings of Jesus as they are portrayed in the New Testament, then the Messiah Jesus falls short in fulfilling the prophecy. For example, Isaiah 42 states that the servant will not cry out:He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets. [Isaiah 42:2] This disqualifies Jesus, who complained and literally cried out directly to GOD, according to the Bible, at many points in his ministry: From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My GOD, my GOD, why have you forsaken me?”). [Matthew 27:45-46]
Actually Jesus spoke Aramaic which is the language that was closely intertwined with Arabic. He said "Eli, Eli" which sounds a little like "Illa, illa" pretty much like "Illah" in Arabic

The Hebrew word is Machmad which in plural is machmadiym. This Hebrew word occurs in 1 Kgs 20:6; 2 Chr 36:19; Song 5:16; Isa 64:10; Lam 1:7; Lam 1:10; Lam 1:11; Lam 2:4; Ezek 24:16; Ezek 24:21; Ezek 24:25; Hos 9:6; Hos 9:16; Joel 4:5. Does it mean Mohammed in all these places?? This has no connection with Mohammed. The meaning of Machmad is desirable, pleasant, lovely etc.

The message of Deuteronomy 18, the Lord God directly tells Moses that a future prophet will be raised up like him, from the midst of the Israelite people.
