We are standing before Allah , the One who can make peoples mouths sealed and make their body parts speak if we are lying , so its not that you are gonna catch the book flying to you but it will just land in the place Allah has directed it to land (That's why he said people will hide their left hands but their left hands will get the book while they are trying to hide it no matter what) And if you have question of "What about people who don't have one or both the hands?" Allah ahs/will resurrect the dead (us) back to life so its no surprise that He will provide us with all the necessary human things to us on the Day of Judgement (Whether we ever had them or not we will get them) . When the prophet speaks about the hand of Allah it is not a literal meaning of the term, but rather an image to make it easy to understand what will happen. The Hadith of the Great Intercession:
It is narrated in a long hadith by Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), found in both Sahih Al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“Then Allah, the Almighty, will say: ‘The angels have interceded, the prophets have interceded, and the believers have interceded, and now there remains only the Most Merciful of the merciful.’ He will take a handful from the Fire and bring out people who never did any good deeds, who have been turned into charcoal, and He will cast them into a river at the entrance of Paradise called the River of Life.”

There is other parts, the believers also have to cross the sirat, a bridge that is above the hellfire and is very thin like a string in order to get to jannah. There are certain tests on judgement day and those who are secure are the ones who did the right things they were supposed to do while they were alive.

We are standing before Allah , the One who can make peoples mouths sealed and make their body parts speak if we are lying , so its not that you are gonna catch the book flying to you but it will just land in the place Allah has directed it to land (That's why he said people will hide their left hands but their left hands will get the book while they are trying to hide it no matter what) And if you have question of "What about people who don't have one or both the hands?" Well its also simple . Allah ahs/will resurrect the dead (us) back to life so its no surprise that He will provide us with all the necessary human things to us on the Day of Judgement (Whether we ever had them or not we will get them) . That's why I told you , the young ones or mentally unstable will get a free pass to get a better and the MOST satisfying (also eternal) life in Heaven with no problems .
