I´m creating ASMR videos and I´m wondering if ZV-1 would be a good option or if there is a better one cause sometimes I have to move a brush, or my hands so close to the camera (to produce the effect that these objects are touching your face, and feel more tingles) and I don't want it to be changing the focus all the time (in other words, is it a good option to show the brush moving at the same time than my face, without changing the focus?). I love your videos ❤️

I just got this camera and took it on a little vacation and I’m blown away how good it is. ESPECIALLY in good light. Really impressive. I’m 52, and the last video camera I had was a MINI DV, so this is a huge step up. I’m also a professional photographer so I can use my DSLR, but my favorite thing about the ZV1 is the size!!! It’s a stealth camcorder! Thanks for these great tips!
I film with movie mode in shutter priority to control double frame rate. I keep the rest on auto and use the "blurry background" and the ND filter to adjust to chaning light conditions. I find that very easy and convenient. I understand that Manual has its place in a studio - outside though I dont want to mess with the exposure triangle all the time. Good vid

I just got a ZV-1 2 days ago and I'm loving it so far, especially the super fast autofocus. Still exploring the camera and trying out settings for my fragrance channel. Took me a lot of courage to start a channel on fragrances (something that I like a lot). There are so many out there but I wanted to express my opinions too. Thank you for all those tips.

Hi, what do you think is the best setting for someone that makes build and how to videos on TH-cam are? I record with a lot of hand and body movement and I want the shots to look clear without the camera going crazing on trying to focus in and out on my movements. When the camera does stuff like that, I get a some recordings of focus in and out blurs. What is your suggestion for a more clear shot with body and hand movement? Thank you.
Great video but you missed the NTSC/PAL settings regarding 4k frame rates, maybe its set to NTSC in North America but in the UK its PAL so initially the frame rates available were only 25p 100M and 25p 60M had to find another video to see what was going on. Found one that showed that you had to head to SetUp2 and change the format from PAL to NTSC, once that was done all the formats became available.
Bought Sony ZV-1 a year ago but just started using it. I am shooting outdoor videos in the garden. All around becoming self-sufficient in a suburban area. Thanks for this video it was so helpful.

Is there a way to turn off the focus? I want it to be that everything is clear in shot frame even when moving around so it is not trying to focus on just 1 thing. Thank you.
I just used my ZV-1 for the first time only to realize it only recorded 4 minutes of my 30 minute video. Your video confirms that i made the correct changes to keep that from happening again. Thanks. I also love the Bluetooth controller that comes with the kit. It's like having an easy button.

A lot of great information. I know this is a video for beginners but at 3:00 I would’ve mentioned using the built in ND filter if people want to keep the aperture open. Using a wide aperture is a desired effect and brings attention especially in the environment you are describing. I know in this video yours is quite narrow but a lot of people would want the bokeh. Great vid!!

Just bought this today after watching all of your videos. I’ll be using it for the on the go vlog aspects of my channel (medical resident/fitness channel). Even considering using this for my talking head videos instead of my whole DSLR setup for ease, and when you ran it for talking heads in your other videos it was looking clean!

I was using this video to set up my Zv1 but when I got to Record settings it only gave me the option of 25p 100M or 25p 60M. It did not give me the option of 30p 100M. Solo , I thought the speaker/ mic on the camera was enough! I will probably use voice over in TH-cam Studio. Would that be just as good? Voice over would let me give my key points of the areas I'm filming.
I'm a singer and intend to use this on stage in video mode getting shots of myself with audience reactions/participation. In most cases this will be low light. Any considerations you would recommend for settings? Great information btw

Im a farmer trying to vlog my day but struggling with motion blur when on the move and my image is quite cropped in 4k im new to cameras/vlogging 😆

Seeing my aperture I believe at F2.5 I am not sure if this is a good thing or bad thing?

Solo creator here! Just bought a new camera. My iPhone kept filling up and shutting off halfway through filming my last two videos! LOL! Here’s hoping I won’t have that problem with my new Sony camera! Thanks for the settings walkthrough. Totally setting it up tomorrow.

Solo , I thought the speaker/ mic on the camera was enough! I will probably use voice over in TH-cam Studio. Would that be just as good?
Voice over would let me give my key points of the areas I'm filming.
I'm a singer and intend to use this on stage in video mode getting shots of myself with audience reactions/participation. In most cases this will be low light. Any considerations you would recommend for settings? Great information btw

Great video! Im excited to use my zv-1, but am I the only one that noticed it takes forever to transfer photos/videos from the camera to my phone on the Sony app?
It takes to long and it dies even faster.
