Like Lovebites, NEMOPHILA is a band aiming for a two-player lead guitar system. The guitarist SAKI on the right is famous and also serves as Mary's blood's lead guitar. The guitarist on the left is HAZUKI, who is also one of the twin lead guitarists in the LI-sa-X band. Perhaps this is the connection, a video of Li-sa-X, SAKI and Ironbunny playing in collaboration has recently appeared. I pretty much love what those ladies have put out so far. Only 2 original songs so far but I love that so far they keep things heavy with not TOO much pop influence which is something not a lot of Japanese bands do. I really hope they keep it that way and am looking forward to more! :)
Saki of Mary's Blood (far right) is keeping busy. Her and Fuki were guests in a "Shred Racers" live stream last night. This was the second one that is produced by Ironbunny. Last night included Ediee Ironbunny, Kotono, Minami, Li-sa-X, Fuki and Saki. It was a very good show. It was interesting that Fuki was the only one wearing a mask and singing through it. It didn't have much effect on her vocals.
I think the lesson is genre is a limiting concept. What I love about the Japanese bands, besides incredible musicianship and great production, is their willingness to do new stuff and break the rules, and they don't have to resort to shock value to do it. We can only hope to hear more from Nemophila, but they all have regular gigs and this is a side project, so we'll see.
I wasn't sure about it in the first half, but that second half gave it so much more depth. Definitely gotta check these guys out. edit: Fast forward a few weeks and I've still got them on loop daily, also started venturing into Mary's Blood. Thanks for helping me find them!

They're not remnants. They were and are in other known bands; this is a fun side project for them. But we are hearing rumors of an album coming. Their fanbase is exploding.

Not my kind of rock. But I'm glad to see more female bands coming out. To fill in gaps. That are not band maid fans. Like i dig Iron Bunny but not a fan of Trident. Keep up the good work.
