- Columbus Zoo's finest. He's actually a pretty cool guy irl too. Too bad this tape makes it seem like he's a super cheesy guy with the AFV-tier "WOW WACKY STUFF HAPPEN" with the sound effects and the music. If you ever see this Jack, rock on dude. Hopefully it doesn't bring out some sort of repressed memory or anything.

Jack Hanna and David Letterman are one of the most underrated comedy duos of all time. Partially because Jack didnt realize he was part of a comedy duo. All that dude knows how to do is talk animals. Brilliant video.

Actually, there's at least one more cool "terrific animals and the folks who show them" old videos-series: "Marty Stouffer's 'Wild America'" episodes. My favorite is the one called "Fantastic Follies". It's about funny stuff that animals have done! 😅😅😅😅

Two scenes are missing from this VHS. One of them is them feeding a crocodile named Jake. The other one is with singing dogs

I used to have all of Jack Hanna's films on VHS, and then some years ago my storage unit was robbed while I was moving. Out of everything I lost, this is one of those odd, seemingly insignificant things I spent years trying to find again. Not constantly, of course, but it was something I never forgot about. My favorite part was with the otter at the end, I could watch it a million times and still adore it. Thank you so much for sharing this.

I used to watch this all the time when I was little. I remember bringing the VHS tape to show and tell in Kindergarten, 1998, and how overjoyed I was when our teacher put it on for the entire class to watch together. Core memory :)

😊😊 Same here, nowadays -- at least until/unless I can find a good deal on a vcr/DVD combo, 'cause I kept a lot of my old VHS's and DVD's! (I have quite a little library of them nowadays!😊)
When you bought the set from time life, even if you returned the set, they let you keep the bloopers vhs. Needless to say, I watched the series once, and this blooper vhs many times!
Was there another version of this tape released? The one I had as a kid featured a segment between the burping camels and the baby spectacled bear where Jack and a keeper were trying to get dogs to "sing" and completely failed at it. There's also another segment where he made a "penguin milkshake" that was missing.
Now that you mention it, I'm wondering about that myself... 😅

Also, to be fair, there's a reason it's called Animal Bloopers, these are the goofy moments a professional wouldn't want to show on their normal regular stuff, and then you have the family-friendly, "entertaining" editing in mind too, (like that bit with King's cough-like sound being made in response to Jack's question when that clip was clearly just used moments before).
I had this VHS growing up and even looking at it again, I have no issue with it but that's cause of Nostalgia
