My dad had a super small part in Ferris Bueller. He was a waiter in the restaurant scene. I love watching that movie with friends just so I can point him out during that part!
Tia Wats ***** Whenever my family watches any movies or TV shows we like to play a game to try and spot my dad or my grandpa. It's fun. Some stuff is easier than others.
Could you describe me which waiter is your dad in Ferris Bueller's?? I plan on watching that movie with my friends and if I know who your dad is I'll say "Ooh, that's the dad of a girl I know!".
Taylor Romano My bio teacher freshman year was almost one of the kids holding hands in the Art Institute but they cut him because he was too tall! (Lol) He also told us that his dad was best friends with John Hughes in high school and they worked in all the movies together. (He was the transportation coordinator/captain. His name is John Hardy.)
can you guys do a throwback of the early cw shows/teen draw in early 2000s like one tree hill, the oc, gossip girl, privileged, gilmore girls, sabrina the teenage witch, damsons creek
SUPA LEXY I'm from Lemont where the beginning of the movie was filmed. It's weird watching the scene where Sara and her friend are walking in the hallway of their high school because I literally walk down that hall way like every day.
Walk to Remember wasn't really a "high school movie." yes, they were in high school, but it was a dramatic love story, it was more about the 2 main characters than actually being in high school, you know? also, these are mostly comedies.
Dani Peros John Hughes was the master of teen movies! Molly was his muse ♥️ Duckie got his happy ending (albeit not with Andy, lol), and Andrew McCarthy was my dream, lol... I was a teen when it came out. Add The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Ferris Beuller..., Some Kind of Wonderful... & the soundtracks were amazing!!! ♥️ To this day I watch Pretty in Pink regularly, one of my top 2 favourite movies.
These movies are all my favorites, definitely the perfect high school classics!! I was surprised Never Been Kissed with Drew Barrymore wasn't on the list. I mean come on, she's a journalist who goes back to high school for a "second chance". Awesome video though!!
+Rose Luna - uhhh...Grease did NOT come out when they were teens haha. Literally, these are throwback highschool movies, as in the ones that were at least realistic high school films. High School Musical? When is the last time you saw 14 students in your class break out into song and dance in a gym?
I just love so many of these movies because they're really just modern retellings of classic novels. Like, Clueless is a retelling of Jane Austen's Emma, Easy A is the Scarlet Letter. On top of being good movies they're also interesting adaptations
My favorite high school movies were all the high school musical movies, princess diaries, sister hood of the traveling pants, she is all that, and mean girls.
Everything on this list is on point but you forgot a few -john tucker must die -not another teen movie -she's the man -step up -stick it -ice princess -man of the house These movies made my childhood
I must have watched superbad like 10 times a month when I was around 13. Since I had the old version of the ipod nano I could only fit 2 movies on it, so I had super bad and Juno. :P
My teacher made a Ferris Bueller reference and no one in my class under stood it, so she had us watch the movie. Mid class no questions asked just made us stop and watch a movie
I hated how they glossed over The Breakfast Club. I really find it to be my favorite teen movie of all times, I have probably seen it a million times. It's good for when you're happy, it's good for when you're sad... it's really bad to show to friends who want to talk, instead of listening to the dialogues. Got really pissed once, at a friend for doing it, when she was watching the movie for the first time. Specially since she was like "wait? what is happening now?", and I was like - well, if you would have shut up and watched, you would have known!
Trust me, the Mean Girls table set up is real. At my old high school the jocks would sit together, the theatre kids would sit together, the musicians would sit together and then there was my group: mish mosh of multiracial, multiethnic people that didn't really have a set "thing" so we just sat together.
The Breakfast Club...THEY LIED TO US!!!They made Saturday morning detention seem like the coolest thing to do,huh??I had SOOOO many Saturdays spent in detention to only be bored outta my mind and disappointed to see it NOTHING like the dang movie.
To this day, my all time favourite "essential high school movies" even though they are both before my time, are Grease and Footloose (the original one obvs) My best friend had only seen the remake of Footloose and I told him we couldn't be friends anymore until he watched the original one LOL
Drive me crazy, never been kissed...throw in a little creativity with what will be essential for high school (reunions), Romy & Michelle's specifically 😉
I love that she knew the whole poem from 10 things I hate about you. Also, I didn't actually watch bring it on until high school because my brother's friend's older sister was watching it with her friend and they didn't want me to watch it for some reason. I think they thought I was annoying because I was like two years younger than they were.
I love the whip cream scene in Not Another Teen Movie, for obvious reasons, and I have been wondering forever what teen movie it was from. Thank you Clevver for informing me.
I couldn't stop laughing(17:09) when she was explaining that someone said u look like the girl on Napoleon Dynamite I looked at her and she really does wow
8:50 OF COURSE we have that technology!! I use an app that has my clothes indexed and dresses me up every day hahaha. It's so true. We live in the future!
Save The Last Dance, Drive Me Crazy, Not another Teen Movie, Juno, Can't Hardly Wait, Jawbreaker, Final Destination, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Cruel Intentions!!!!
I remember my Spanish teacher saying that Ferris Bueller's day off was boring and I completely told him off and it was one of my greatest moments in school.
My dad had a super small part in Ferris Bueller. He was a waiter in the restaurant scene. I love watching that movie with friends just so I can point him out during that part!
Taylor Romano Cool! 😀
so cool!
Tia Wats ***** Whenever my family watches any movies or TV shows we like to play a game to try and spot my dad or my grandpa. It's fun. Some stuff is easier than others.

I LOOOVVEEE how Lilly talked about social media difference between the time the movie was made and now... at 2:50
I wish they would've talked about Not Another Teen Movie though. It parodied most of these movies, and it is gold
not as its own category
AND it had Chris-fucking-Evans 😍😍😍💓
That was actually the one I had in mind lol
They could called movies marvel heroes were in.
Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Breakfast Club, 10 Things I Hate About You, Clueless, Mean Girls and basically all these movies are so amazing omg
can you guys do a throwback of the early cw shows/teen draw in early 2000s like one tree hill, the oc, gossip girl, privileged, gilmore girls, sabrina the teenage witch, damsons creek
For clueless. they had a program for windows 98 that you could upload your clothes and do the same mix and match thing they did on the movie.
opineso fine Clueless came out in 95, we didn't have Windows 98 yet LOL
I literally do the Bring It On cheer when someone says it's cold. lmao. these movies are classic. :)
There's this teacher at my high school and every year for the teacher talent show he does Napoleon Dynamite's dance. He rocks it every time.
You missed, better off dead, and Pretty in pink. I love those so much.
Where is she's the man ?
wasn't that a college movie though?
Nope, high school.
No its a high school movie. She went to a all boys boarding school
You're right, it's a crime it's not there.
Juliet Crease my nephew watched She's The Man every single day approximately 4 times a day throughout 2013, he wasn't even a year old.

SUPA LEXY that movie was so dope.
SUPA LEXY I'm from Lemont where the beginning of the movie was filmed. It's weird watching the scene where Sara and her friend are walking in the hallway of their high school because I literally walk down that hall way like every day.

Kirsti Swanson My bad I misread her comment, I only read essential tv shows.
I conceived my daughter right after watching Back to the Future... she was born in 2015. You could say I was happy about that.
I also have a photo of Jon Header holding my daughter.
I love Juno such a great movie.
Sad because "John Tucker Must Die" didn't make the cut!

A Walk to Remember hello that should have been on the list
Oh my gosh yes! That is my favorite movie!!
sob. Janell Parrish is doing the musical. Someone has video's here on youtube, she also played Katherine in the Cruel Intentions Musical.
Walk to Remember wasn't really a "high school movie." yes, they were in high school, but it was a dramatic love story, it was more about the 2 main characters than actually being in high school, you know? also, these are mostly comedies.
yeessssssssssssssssssss
agreed
My favorite thing about Bring It On is that it's the only movie I know of that has a somewhat realistic portrayal of cheerleading.
She's the man!!!!!!! "WORD G MAN" best quote ever 😂😂
Ben looks like Ethan Craft and I can't unsee it!!
I know of Greece and have watched it only every time it comes on and I've seen Ferris Buller's Day Off and I think it hilarious.
I need every single one of you to watch The Edge of Seventeen because it's everything.
OMG PRETTY IN PINK WAS AND STILL IS MY JAM!!!
To this day I watch Pretty in Pink regularly, one of my top 2 favourite movies.
Save The Last Dance, Coach Carter, Remember The Titans, and Facing The Giants (that Death Crawl scene makes me tear up every time).
I loved Molly Ringwald's Ralph Lauren outfit in The Breakfast Club.
These movies are all my favorites, definitely the perfect high school classics!!
I was surprised Never Been Kissed with Drew Barrymore wasn't on the list. I mean come on, she's a journalist who goes back to high school for a "second chance". Awesome video though!!
Dazed and Confused is the most underrated high school movie

I hated how they glossed over The Breakfast Club. I really find it to be my favorite teen movie of all times, I have probably seen it a million times. I love Drew so much she reminds me of someone but i can't put my finger on it
Easy A, Mean Girls, The Breakfast Club and Back to the Future are my favorite High School movies.
Why got I the feeling the voice over was litterly in every movie trailer?
I love that she knew the whole poem from 10 things I hate about you. Also, I didn't actually watch bring it on until high school because my brother's friend's older sister was watching it with her friend and they didn't want me to watch it for some reason. I think they thought I was annoying because I was like two years younger than they were.
Sorry, I had to pause the video and sing all of the songs in Grease, before could resume it
I love the whip cream scene in Not Another Teen Movie, for obvious reasons, and I have been wondering forever what teen movie it was from. Thank you Clevver for informing me.
