EP 3 - Mack Trunnion and bushing Disassembly

In episode 3 I am disssembly the U-bolts, Trunnion Stand, and upper and lower Insulators for my 1983 R model Mack.

Glad to hear you're going to give the inter-axle power divider some love. If your axles don't have inter-wheel power dividers in them you have the chance to add them now, and you'll never get stuck again!
Good job tackling this heavy work. If you keep it up you'll soon have the nicest R tractor in the east!

Get two new after market 38K springs from Triangle Auto Springs. OEM quality replacements. You got a deal on the new trunion stand 👍 I wondered how long it would take you to realize the trunion stand wasn't going to come up out of there. Keep at it and get her fixed up good.

The short drive shaft between reagents is called a JACK SHAFT.

We bought a new trunion tower for a 96 DM with 44 k rears a few years ago at work. Not sure what it cost. Good job scoring a new one for your project.
