" Is Atom Heart Mother Pink Floyd's piece, or yours?". Pshaw. It's Pink Floyd. The Amazing Pudding was already composed, a finished piece by the time Ron was asked to add traditional orchestration at certain moments. The voice section is very funny but the music underneath it and everything else is all undoubtedly Pink Floyd. Is Geesin's contribution as significant as, say, Gilmour's solo in Money? No! Money is incomplete without it. Pink Floyd continued to play Atom Heart Mother after it's release without Geesin's orchestration. Did it feel incomplete? No, not at all, same song but without Geesin's bits.
Great interview guys!
Great interview and lots of pearls of wisdom from Mr. Geesin
