At first quick glance at the thumbnail I thought I saw John as the host… I was very confused. This is what Perry lives for! He is perfect for these heavier bands
Didn't David Gilmour use a fuzz into another gain stage like.. all the time in Pink Floyd? Obviously not as INSANE as END's tone, but I though that was a thing being done pretty often in the early days of fuzz. Hendrix wasn't smashing fuzz into amps?
6:52 fairly sure he's referring to the dude who runs Voodoo amps fun fact: yes he is still around doing amp mods, he just moved location down to Horseheads.
Well, of course I cannot know how @Premierguitarofficial set these scenes up, but I find it rather unlikely that the sound of any analogue gear you hear in these videos is representative due to 1) the cam/room mic's quality, 2) the cam/room mic's placement within the room (with the safe assumption that there's in fact some room mic in use and not only the microports pick up the cabs' sound), 3) since most backlines anyhow go through the usual mic-preamp-FOH desk-PA chain, and I assume the PA is not on while filming these. With fully digital stuff I tend to agree that having some samples recorded directly could be interesting, but then it would be probably difficult to bribe the tech team for a rec out. If most of you are here for _some idea_ of the sound, that's fair, but IMHO you shouldn't be here for a realistic audio demo by the musicians.
@@klekrfaqer2114 well like the part where the dude says "i add this octave up shifting delay with this other delay pedal and it sounds fucked up" show us! I have no idea what the sound he's describing is so it would be cool to get a little demo

@@deathmetal0914 Thanks for your reply mate, but the plot keeps thickening as those gentlemen are using MKII Swollens for which inside pots are all the way to the way to the left by default. My man is wrong about early Earth Crisis because Gomorrah's Season Ends sounds AWESOME. These dudes have insane tone and never would have expected Swollen Pickle to be on their boards.
That's exactly how I see it too, only that it goes back to the zuul+ after the fuzz and then to the time-based effects (delay/reverb) in order for those not to be squashed by the gate. Another option with the zuul+ is they could go straight to the front of the amp after fuzz/od/Octave and then have the effects loop send in the rear input of the zuul then out to the delay/reverb and to the return of effects loop this way killing both noise sources with only one gate which the zuul+ is essentially made for.
There's probably a thread on the gear page about optimum air circulation and temperature to run fuzz pedals in. I am guessing you need a vintage pocket fan made in a certain region of China from 1987 to nail it.
