The item is a bullet from an anti aircraft round. The brass shell casing has corroded away leaving only the neck portion of the brass casing still on the bullet. Some are explosive type and even after many years can still go off under certain conditions.
@@Darkest_Soul_187 in my army there were double anti-aircraft guns, most of the ammunition had an incendiary cartridge that lit up in flight. Therefore maybe a cavity in the bullet, burnt out....

You should be fishing more where you found the rug as it's likely an original 'swept under the rug' relic 😂 Wim had a couple of nice finds i.e. the bike and the small barbells. My thought is that you found a 20mm cannon round - either from an anti-aircraft gun or from a fighter plane. It's actually a surprise you don't find more of them with the amount of fighting that went on in the Netherlands in World War II.

Finally it seems the days are starting to warm up with temps in the low 60's. Warmer temps should have arrived in March. I happened upon your videos and absolutely love them. 09:10 Be careful with those; It's a smaller caliber Warhead; My dad took the "Live" WW2 AA round I have next to my fireplace to BAE (British Aero Space) before it went belly up and removed the fuse. Even though he was able to disarm it, there is still HE inside of it. If you still have it, I would recommend taking it to the police or someone that works in Bomb disposal to make sure that one is safe or can be made safe (ish).
