The coin in the beginning is a French car wash token which can be dated anywhere from 1958 onward. "Reseau elephant bleu" is the name. Pretty cool find!

The item is a bullet from an anti aircraft round. The brass shell casing has corroded away leaving only the neck portion of the brass casing still on the bullet. Some are explosive type and even after many years can still go off under certain conditions.
Yep, that's why you never put something like that in your hand lol
@@Darkest_Soul_187 in my army there were double anti-aircraft guns, most of the ammunition had an incendiary cartridge that lit up in flight. Therefore maybe a cavity in the bullet, burnt out....

Hi, Leigh, Nikki and Wim. Nice wide, open space to magnet fish. Was surprised there weren't more bikes considering its proximity to the bike rack. Congrats on the WW2 relic find. You should be fishing more where you found the rug as it's likely an original 'swept under the rug' relic 😂
Wim had a couple of nice finds i.e. the bike and the small barbells. Nikki, with their haphazard magnet tossing how have you managed to not get covered in canal muck? Nice video work, as usual.

Hey mate! 😁🤙🤙 it was a very nice spot but I was surprised as well with how few bikes we found 😂 it actually took a while before we found the first one! I definitely want to go back to this spot, we didn’t have a lot of time and like you said, what else was swept under the rug 😂 And Nicky gets covered in mud every time unfortunately 😂😅

My thought is that you found a 20mm cannon round - either from an anti-aircraft gun or from a fighter plane. It's actually a surprise you don't find more of them with the amount of fighting that went on in the Netherlands in World War II.
Probably weren't aimed at canals.
@@geradkavanagh8240 - when a round is fired into the air or from an aircraft, you have no control over where it comes down. They could be anywhere.
I found a 20mm shell in the forest near a small village from a fighter plane.

I got a little spooked seeing that shell - I pulled up one that is very similar over here in the states about a year ago, though in my case we had to call the bomb squad because the police thought it might still be live!
