The sad part is that most studs/butches judge other studs and femmes like to hog the spotlight with their 'woe is me' stories and don't hold space for masc women. Its crazy how we judge each other and create an unsafe space. One femme thought she'd sleep with me and just couldn't handle that I rejected her. Lol. We have a long way to go. 🏳️🌈🇿🇦

I am 33 years old now, and it’s been a long journey of figuring out what exactly I’m looking for in a partner. I can really relate to what you said about having someone buy you flowers. In all of my past long term relationships not once did any woman buy me flowers, even pick a flower for me. I don’t know what it is about appearing masculine that seems to communicate that we don’t need to be appreciated or shown in small ways that they care. I would surprise her with breakfast in bed, or a special dinner with wine, propose date night and even just leave little notes of appreciation. Something that definitely came up for me when you (Amber) said that it'd be a red flag if they aren't working on any mental health/awareness stuff is that if someone wants to be with me, one of my must-haves is that they are in therapy. I personally believe everyone should be in therapy and there are so many reasons for that, especially when in a relationship. In short, I believe therapy can foster a healthy relationship with the self while building communication, coping, and processing skills - all of which are extremely necessary for both halves of a partnership to meet one another where they're at.
You know that there are many many ways to deal with mental health issues and therapy is *one* way of dealing with these? Also not everyone can afford that. I really wonder what's up with people nowadays.

Oh boy this reminded me of a story. I had a close friend that when she got drunk she would get sexual…with almost any cute person. She had never been with a girl but knew I had.
