Love this video. We have just returned home and stayed at Akana on Jln Sudamala. We found this end of Sanur so much nicer for us than the central area we stayed in earlier in our holiday. We absolutely loved Bella Italia, went 2 nights in a row it was that good. New French Restaurant across from Akana, Denise & Lucette is also fabulous. We walked Jln Cemara frequently, lots of great places to enjoy.
Yeah I really like the area too, but I’m not sure most people really head down there unless they’re staying there, which is a shame. Sanur has these separate little areas that are far enough away from one another that you can move between them and have a totally different experience. I love the Cemara and Sudamala areas. So peaceful.
Great video mate on the southern end - i really enjoyed it. Its a really nice part of town especially ay night with all the tree lights. That saigon restaurant is excellent. We ate their a week a go, really nice food. And may i say, well done on your maps - brilliant - loved how they kept updating each time you mentioned the place - 10/10 - loved it.
Thanks so much. I really appreciate the compliment! It’s sometimes to difficult to gauge how you’re doing and this sort of comment gives me great encouragement! Thanks!
One of our fave ends of town....stay here every year, usually Jade Villas, for at least a week. I reckon Saigon does the better banh mie but Me Vui is always enjoyable, and djning inside around the Segara pool can be nice. Peni Weni is my 1st pick for hair, beauty and massage.....so cheap and such lovely staff....your friend is not exaggerating! Thx for reminding me why I am in countdown mode for June!
Wow, that’s great validation Lynne. I really love that end of town as well and usually find myself at places in that area. As for the best Banh Mi, that’s just given me an idea for a video! 🤣
Thankyou for doing these videos, we are coming to Bali (from Brisbane) for the first time in May, staying at the Puri Santrian, so your vid’s are very helpful.
My pleasure! A good location at the Puri Santrian with plenty of good places to eat nearby. Bare Bottle for coffee, Odah Perak for 100% local food if you’re brave, Me Vui for unreal Vietnamese, Genius cafe down on the beach for Brekky or dinner and then Warung Baby Monkeys for cheap local/western fare. You’re going to love it!
I stay at this end of Sanur on a regular basis and I must say your suggestions are on point!!..My favourite restaurant is Bella Italia as their Greek salad is amazing..Thanks for sharing.
I haven’t been to the one in Sanur but I did go to the one in Ubud last year and I didn’t like it. I probably should try the one in Sanur to give an honest appraisal of it, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet. Have you been? What do you think?
Thanks for getting back to me.I am sorry to hear that the Ubud store didn't live up to expectation as the Sanur store is amazing. The croissants are properly made and the French pastries are , in my humble opinion the best in Sanur. The coffee is of a high standard as well. I had a regular Cappuccino, Large Apple pastry and another fancy French pastry for 100k.I walked away feeling that this was one of the foodie highlights while in Sanur...PS..I also highly recommend The Thai beef salad from Vu Hanoi..This is currently my favorite dish in Sanur..
Kamboja homestay is great runby yan ma forty dollars australian with breakfast the riveria is great buy a bottle of wine get 5 lombok oysters free also gardenia guesthose arond corner from sudamala resort great food are you going back to annas warung to try there spicey chicken
Good to know about Kamboja and Riviera. You really do rate the spicy chicken at Anna’s! The problem is there is so much good food on her menu… or would you say that you absolutely have to have the spicy chicken and forget everything else?
