I'm new to making melodies and beat patterns, this video has really opened my eyes to what I can do using effective automation of effects. I have had mixcraft since version 5 and I'm really glad I stayed with this daw. Thank you for the videos, very well done.
Such a great way to explain the difficult things in such a smooth and easy way. You are a good instructor. Just started MC, and your videos making it more interesting and easy. Kudos! Count me IN as a new subscriber.
if I apply the time stretching / pitch shiftin to the video track (or segments of it) linked to the video, does the video itself also undergo the reduction of time? (as happens for example in Ableton live?) That would be great !!
Hey there! That would really depend on if the effect offers a 'mix' control or not. Otherwise, you would have to automate all parameters individually, or instead consider routing the effect as a 'send' and automating the level of the send or the volume of the send. We'll be talking more about send tracks in the advanced course!
have the same question. I can't believe in mixcraft 9 you have to use a send track to automate reverb on a section of a clip... that was the trick in 2012 and it's 9 years later! fun fact: not very many fx have mix function
when using automatatuion in mixcraft 8-9 it always start flipping out and move it self like its a bug or something.. and when i save a project when using automatation many tracks change its volume and sometimes fade out or in like hell.. why is that ..?
I need automation to turn off a distortion turn on a different one for a solo then, turn off that distortion and turn back the original distortion. Like a guitar pedal how can I do this!? I contacted acoustics support and they sent me this link but this videos DOES NOT EXPLAIN THIS!
hey ,i had mixcraft 9, 1month ago and i saw your video and i have a problem ,i don't find decay ,and i don't know if is was substitute by an other fx .. i'm lost please help me (ps i'm french, with the more simply words you can🙏
Ladies and gentlemen that is venus theory giving us this great tutorial. Venus can you plz tell me how you were so quickly drawing then copying the automation shapes like you were. Thank you.
🙌 Ayyyyyyyyyy 🙌 Glad you enjoyed it! For this video that's actually just a bit of a time lapse effect for the sake of time. However, in Mixcraft, you can copy/paste automation by highlighting the automation region you want to copy, then just use CTRL+C to copy, and CTRL+V to paste. Saves a lot of time for repetitive automations!
I am using mixcraft for so long and I was not aware about this feature in automation! Thank you very much!
No problem at all, that's why we make these videos!
Longtime user MC. A one layer automation guy. This multilayer automation invites more experimentation. Great lesson. Thanks!! Mike
Glad the video gave you some inspiration! Let us know where you end up with it!

Mixcraft is all about that , smooth

how do I change the automation of the whole effect at once? not just parts of it

How do you hide those Automation lanes after you're done adding them to the project?
Hey there! To do that, you can right click the track and select 'show automation lane' to toggle them on/off in the view!
What is that popping sound and why is the automation doing it to your track?
Sadly enough no "Automation follow event" function ( when moving audio clips around).
Version 10 coming...

We'll note it down on the suggestions list!
Why no Mac version?
Hey there! Mixcraft has always been a Windows only program, but that may change in the future.
