You have to replace the factory vgt turbo.

the 2nd gen manifold helps out a lot too. even the 5.9 commonrails sound a lot deeper with the 2nd gen manifold

To get a true 12V sound you need a 2nd gen swap plus a 12V tune that has single injection events plus a little higher idle RPM. check out www.doublerdiesel.com He has all the parts and tunes and is great to work with.

How is the daily driveability (turbo lag) of the S472 compared to stock? I haven't driven one of the new 6.7s yet, but I know if I were to put one on my 2nd gen even with big sticks it would take forever to spool and smoke like a freight train!!!

@ABOMINALITY a second gen mainfold will bolt right up. You gotte delete the emissions shit. All this does is just moves your turbo a lillte bit further forward.

Got a couple questions for u, 1. Why not build the stock 6 speed? 2. is that 47 a 4 speed with tq lockup? 3. how much more/less power did you notice between the 6.7 and 5.9? 4. and lastly what is your mpg with all the deletes? thx

Because most all 2nd Gen swaps are non VGT turbo. You can get an aftermarket VGT from a few manufactures including Fleece.
