    Until now we have used Android Auto and Apple Carplay by wiring. Now I have bought this device Carlinkit 5.0 (2air) wireless. Before installing shall I delete the two Bluetooth parring, that I have used until now?

  • @juergenacker
    @juergenacker 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    It uses the Bluetooth for the initial setup after that from what I understand it connects via Wi-fi

    Thanks but the negative point is on my Toyota Yaris Hybrid, brand new, it cannotbe reckognized when pushing the voice command key on the wheel, have to go to the screen, this is not good at all. It says, no device reckognized. This is really bad, since this is essential !

    Thank you for your detailed review! Is it easy to switch between Carplay and Android Auto? E.g., if I already have an iPhone connected and want to connect an Android, can I simply pair the Bluetooth on my Android, or do I have to disconnect the iPhone first (or unplug and replug the dongle)? Thank you!

      You will have to discounnect first. But If you have both mobiles switched in the car with BT connected, it will ask show you both mobiles on the screen and then you can select

      It needs to be connected to the USB port that is linked with the screen of the car

    Thank you for the video, I had two questions, one of which was answered. Oddly the CarlinKit 4.0 cheated the Android Auto connection by connecting as CarPlay and doing some screen magic to display Android Auto. @9:55 it does appear that the 5.0 connects natively as Android Auto. I do have a second question. You mentioned at about @3:53 about full-screen views. In your other car, you could go full screen on a widescreen infotainment unit. The reason I ask is that the CarlinKit 4.0 did, but it cheated it, it would stretch the screen so squares were rectangles and circles were ovals. It wasn't using the native resolution. Curious how Android Auto looks full screen in your other car. Specifically are squares square, and circles circular?

      Unfortunately I dont have the device with me anymore so I cant test it for you. But generally these devices reclaibrate to screen size automatically. I have experienced that with almost all devices

      @@MinistryReviewsSchaz Thank you. I was able to confirm this information somewhere else. The 5.0 works the way it should. It appears the screen issue with the 4.0 may have been an artifact of connecting Android Auto through the CarPlay connection. I have been able to confirm the correct screen aspect of the 5.0 and that it natively connects to Android Auto. At least the information I've found suggests so. I've ordered a 5.0.

    Thank you for testing which device connects if both devices are present. Is the a way to manually tell the carlinkit to switch from one device to the other. For example, if my partner and i both get into the car and my phone connects, can i manually tell the carlinkit to connect to her phone instead?

    • @MinistryReviewsSchaz
      @MinistryReviewsSchaz  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, its one of the best model, but the wired AA qulaity is superior then these wireless devices keep that in mind

    Hey Schaz, I bought the 4.0 previously and a lot of disconnections so i seitched to Ottocast play2video.
    The Ottocast was working perfectly for around 3 weeks and then it stopped connecting.
    I'm considering the 5.0 but I'm afraid it will keep disconnecting, similar to the 4.0.
    Did you face any disconnections with the 5.0? And did you notice any dip in the picture quality when using Android Auto wirelessly in the 5.0?

    • @MinistryReviewsSchaz
      @MinistryReviewsSchaz  ปีที่แล้ว

      I did not notice any lagging or dropped connection, or any issues with the picture quality. Generally both Carlinkit and Ottocast devices are really good, maybe they have some compatibility issues with your car

    • @3Khatib
      @3Khatib ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the clarification.
      I bought and and tried it, but it turns out that to get android auto wirelessly, you need to have a factory wired android auto feature.
      Which is unlike Ottocast and the Carlinkit 4.0.

    I also have a some questions:
    1. Can Android Auto work with cars only has Apple CarPlay? Like the Carlinkit 4.0?
    2. Does Android Auto work with widescreen normally without resolution issues and stretching? Because I have this issue with Carlinkit 4.0 and I contacted Carlinkit support many times but they never give me solutions.
