Tutorial: This video shows Tricks for using the Chessboard Display item. How to raise thin items so they don't sink into the item you're displaying them on, How to merge multiple Chessboard together to display items closer together, and How to merge items into the ground.
The Chessboard Display was a reward from Season 16 (page 5, rank 30). It hasn't been added to the Atomic Shop or the help.bethesda.net website yet.

that's how I've been merging items since I started playing 3 years ago, but sometimes the foundation merge style is better for certain items

Helpful tip ... IF you place thge items your are Merging on top of your CAMP MODULE it makes the raise (and even Float), bit easier to giggle them up and down with till the way tou want them,

I encountered a problem while scrapping merged stuff. The game randomly chooses a displayed item and removes it from display when I do so, this is very problematic. Any way to safely remove old items or items I want to redo? Maybe un-display them from my stash first?

Figured it out but my chess board rises after a few days
I haven't had that happen. I really have no idea what advise to give you, that's never happened to anyone I know of. Does it happen to all the chessboards you've merged?
What about other things you've merged?
@@ShamelessTrouble yes so anything I put on the chess board I merge perfectly then a day later my chess boards are sticking out of my items. If this is only happening to me this sucks

I haven't heard of it happening with anyone else. I've never seen it. You're other stuff stays merged down just not the chessboard? Maybe contact a couple other youtubers, see if anyone's heard of it? If not, put in a ticket? I really don't know how that could happen
