This is the movie that made me fall in love with cats. For my 5th birthday I got my first kitty and I named her Thomasina after the kitty in the movie. Cat lover for life. ♥️🐾🐈

Yeah, same here. I saw this movie on TV shortly before my fifth birthday, and it was this movie that made me fall in love with cats. I told my mom all I wanted for my birthday was a cat and I was going to name her Thomasina. It just wouldn’t be the same if they remade this one.
Or maybe it's because it reminds of sweet cat Thomasina who died in May of 2014... Being an only child at the time she was my only playmate.... We found her in our backyard. We would always play together there. We asked some people down the street if we could buy her from them. You see they were throwing her out along with all her stuff. In the end we bought her from them for $20. I still cry every time I hear the song. RIP Thomasina :C
