    OC! I'm seeing a lot of hate. I like Zero as I've had the 2020 SR/S. This is a premium bike, out of reach of most people. The value proposition goes better if you put a ton of miles on it a year, dont have to stop at a gas station on a daily commute, don't have to worry about any service having to do with the engine. The ideal part of an electric anything is that it will save you money in the long term but requires a substance amount of money upfront.
    The bad parts is that they are an anti right to repair company, the brakes could be better(don't use them much but I want them good for emergencies), there was a time when they were actively shipping out bikes that would fail to start if it was wet in certain parts which is terrible, there is no CCS for fast charging due to the lower voltage of the battery/drive system.
    All of that aside, the bike rides exceptionally well and if I wasn't burned from my last experience, I'd get another one.
    On to the Energica Experia for me now!

    I own an Ultraviolette F77, I got to say since it runs on chain drive you feel more connected to the power delivery and grounded. Range anxiety is not that big of an issue after a while you get used to planning your rides. Pro tip is charging it everyday or every so often even if it's not drained enough.

    The Zero (and most other electric bikes) can offer some great prospects as a commuter bike but price and practicality negates the issue. On the commute, or to use it on the weekends (to utilise that sporty handling) there are cheaper options out there. Some folk have rightly complained about lack of support in servicing and being held to ransom on feature locking/unlocking. When you pay that much for your transport, you deserve better. It is simply not enough to rely on nice styling and good handling (as quoted above), when those features (and more) are available elsewhere. It doesn't take a month to work this out- the impracticalities outweigh any good points and the Zero would be deleted when compiling a list of bikes to test or buy.

    yeah i figured by now zero would have come a long way in design... they should be creating the future, but i see the same design elements that they started with and the range hasn't improved much overall. i think motorcycles will be the final holdout on the "electric conversion". the car platform has it's benefits but motorcycle riders are WAY more in tune with the "machine" than typical car drivers. when a rider throws his leg over a bike, it's mostly about the "machine" experience, i don't know if that can be replaced.....

      @@TheAnnoyingBoss Electric doesn't suck, just look at the Tesla Plaid gapping anything that dares to race it for 150k. And now the fastest motorcycle is an electric motorcycle by Energica.
      Sure it doesn't have sound, but Europe is making sound illegal anyway. One of Honda's top selling motorcycles is the DCT GoldWing, people are sick of operating a clutch hence quickshifting is sought after, three wheelers are popping off because operating 5000 things at once is annoying.

      @@chaseontwowheels You can like the bike, but saying stuff like "best commuter bike" immediately triggers warning bells for any normal person. Ask yourself who actually commutes on bikes and what are their priorities, how much money they have available to buy their bike. And then ask yourself how much this bike costs and how many other bikes offer comparable performance/features (and instant torque that ev´s offer isn´t high on the list for commuters) for muuuuch less money, put reliability and ease of service into the mix, and then you will see where cunbad8´s comment is comming from. Bikes like this are playthings for people with a lot of cash to burn and nothing more.

      @F0KS3Y ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@chaseontwowheels I think you should expect this type of comments when you do a video like this, dude. The whole "petrol vs electric" theme is still quite sensitive on its own. To add to all this, calling any bike "THE best" is very triggerring, I think you've thought about it when you were typing the title of the video.
      And if we're talking about the bike itself, ummm... I really don't get it how this one is even a decent commuter. The only benefit of this compared to, I don't know, a small naked bike, is that it's electric, but that's it. In my mind it is not enough to be called the best. DSRX is an adventure bike, not commuter. Even Zero company themselves has some bikes much better suited for commuting - it's their street series, models like S or SR.
      Just a bunch of questionable statements in this video, that's why people can say stuff like that in the comments.
      And hey, you're doing an amazing job with your CFMOTO 800, can't wait to see this tank in action!

But with all of the problems Zero has had as a company and with their bikes... calling it "THE BEST" at anything feels disingenuous. There's really NOTHING you can get that's better than this $20k OTD bike with all the associated problems that come with Zero? Times like this when I especially miss the 3D days of simple motovlogging

    I feel like these bikes should be priced much lower than they are considering range is so limited. I guess it makes some sense if you live in city. But out here in NC when you get on a bike the first thing you want to do is get away from the cities and get out on the country and mountain roads. Electrics basically limit you to the areas you really don’t want to be riding bikes in to begin with.
