For sure. There was another popular mentalist that used to get random people to give up their watch or wallet just by asking for it. I found it fascinating so watched it repeatedly determined to figure out how he did it. After a while I began to catch on to his banter and body language before the ask, and he would always start by asking people for directions somewhere and then telling them "you'll be happy to give that to me, right?" (Directions). Then he would ask for their watch or wallet and the people would give it to him. I tried it a week later with a lady cashier in front of my girlfriend and walked out of a Safeway with a free foccacia bread. (Yes, I eventually brought it back in and told her she gave it to me without me paying, and she was just dumbfounded lol)
