Interesting to hear him talk about transformation, because he is one of the few actors I can think of who is both instantly recognizable as himself AND makes each character feel really distinct. Some actors always basically play themselves; others disappear into the role to the extent that I'm 30 minutes into the movie before I go "Hang on...isn't that so-and-so?" but he is neither. There are definitely certain elements that reappear in Tennant's acting (eg. a particular way of saying "wot?") but it is almost like he's dialing them up and down, like: "OK, for this one turn up the melancholy:humor ratio 30%, and the sweetheart:psychopath ratio 5%..."
YES, my thoughts exactly!! He's the only actor coming to my mind who can do both at the same time, the chameleon and the instantly recognizable, familiar act. I get confused sometimes realizing it's the same man playing Crowley, Killgrave, the Doctor, Alec Hardy... And yet you can find the same little personal touches in all of these characters. Like they're cousins with very distinctive personalities and body language but some common family traits.
David always explains things so well. I often wonder where within his self, does he find the energy to do and accomplish everything that he that he does. He has a family in London. I love that he cares so much for his fans; his charity work and his profession as an actor. I find every time I hear him speak, in an interview, I am comforted. May be it's because he will always be My Doctor but for a brief time, all seems right with the world. I wish I could afford HBO/ Amazon . Perhaps, some day these shows will be carried some where else.
His wife has been with him this week (her instagram is a hoot), but he's been on a whirlwind the last few weeks, doing multiple appearances in different cities around the world. He must be exhausted.
Christine Wahl you can buy the episodes VUDU $1.99 each. That is what I did. It is such a great program. The casting is great and all have great chemistry.
I don't know how this got such bad reviews we were laughing the entire time and I think the cast really did a good job being sincere and showing depth when needed

It was more than worth the wait is my guess! I was lucky in that I watched both series one after the other. But now a long wait for season 3. It's interesting to factor in that between series, the actors embody other characters and have to go back to an old character with new challenges.
What absolutely ridiculously repetitive questions. Three of them asked the same question he'd answered already in the interview. They clearly were not paying attention. My hat is off to DT for his gracious answers. Even when he told them that he'd answered the question already, & did so without letting them know how off they were. He gave respectful replies. He had the patience of Job (Good Omens Season Episode 2)...
Hmm.. I wonder whether TV adaptation's Crowley will be a bit darker than the character in the book based on this interview. Might also be just how Tennant was talking bout Kilgrave, mentioned Crowley in between and continued on to Kilgrave again. Again, might also be interesting if we got to see a bit more infernal side to our demon.
I felt sad when I finished watching this series, thinking “the actors probably didn’t know what was going to happen to their characters “. I just can’t believe how pointless the story was, and how they simply wasted the opportunity of doing something significant with such a good cast, especially David Tennant.

He does everything well! There's a movie where he is a stalker and I can't find it. Saw some scenes and he's very scary. He is my Doctor and he's so easy on the eyes. Hate his new beard look though. I can't see hiding his beautiful face. Camping and Good Omens fantastic! Much Ado About Nothing great comedy. He should give his wife a break, she's and actor too. Love him though!
Suzanne, I think you are talking about BBCs Secret Smile. I watched this on Amazon Prime. He is beyond evil in that. And if you really want bad dreams follow that up with Bad Samaritan. You will never look at DT in the same light.
The first reviews are in and this series if *_fucking terrible._* Critics are giving it a *_zero_* on Rotten Tomatoes while Meta Critics scores that are all over the place with two reviews giving it a completly unrealistic 75%+ while most give it a less than 50% rating.
After being annoyed I went back and watched the whole thing. It is NOT fun (for me) to watch, but interesting to see the characters play out. In real life couldnt spend an hour w those people.
I mean I watch the whole series of campaigns and let me tell you, it got a really good actor and actresses but the script and the storyline was shit. it is beyond saving but it kind of stain David Tennant’s reputation of being good actor that’s one thing im gonna say..
