    When she was hungry, alone, scared and missing her mum, you came into her life. You gave her food, a loving touch, a safe, warm place to rest and protection. It's obvious in your videos, (especially day 2, her first morning, where she keeps climbing the side of her face to get to you) that she now equates you with food, warmth, comfort and love. You have become her mother and she now trusts you absolutely. So when she is held, safe and secure in your hand, as you lower her into the water and gently wet her, she stays still and calm because Mum has got her. Mum says it's safe and Mum would never hurt her.
    (I know you aren't a woman but, for cats, it's rare for Dad to stick around. Mum is the centre of a kitten's world!)

    Hi! Thank you for this video of baby Kohaku. Last time I saw in the comment that you said that you are not talking in the video so we can feel like it's our cat too, it's so sweet of you but I want to let you know that if you ever want to speak in a video it's okay! :) Japanese is such a pretty language to hear. Can't wait to see your next video!

    Good! Probably she was still familiar with being wet, and I'm quite sure she liked it because it was nice and warm.
    The sooner they get used to baths, the better they behave. My cat Charlie was absolutely in love with water and liked to dry himself up by the fireplace.

    My grandmother used to bathe her indoor / outdoor cats at least once a month for flea and tick prevention. I'd have to wear a shark suit to bathe mine. Mine are strictly indoor, though, so I don't worry with fleas, ticks or baths. I'm glad Kohaku doesn't mind the water and hopefully, Mugi will get better with time. ;-)

      I never washed my indoor cats, either. Cats who live indoors don't normally need to have baths, they keep themselves very clean and most cats are terrified. I can't understand why some people force terrified cats into baths that they don't need.

    Why do the cats need to be bathed? Are they not able to clean themselves? Is it an allergy-control issue? (Some people are allergic to cat saliva)
    Kitten is brave and adorable. 🥰

      I think that we should only bathe cats when they are dirty.
      Jackson Galaxy, of Animal Planet fame, said in his book that cats don't need shampoo.
      Unless they are very dirty or smell bad, it is better not to do it.
      We only shampoo our cats about twice a year.
      This time we picked up a kitten and decided to keep it indoors, so we shampooed it.

    Just occasionally bathe my cat never using shampoo though. I think both outdoor and indoor cats get in contact with so many chemicals today that washing them with just water is good if you don't do it too often . But it is even better to just use things that are nontoxic to nature.( Likewashing your cloths in bicarbonate f,ex and never never use fabric softener which is poison.

      i used to take my cats bath about 1 or 2 times a year when they are too stink or dirty.

    You should never bathe a cat. Unless they go outside and get really really really dirty.

      What if they have fleas? Just asking, I've never owned a cat

    • @notoriousresearcher
      @notoriousresearcher 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ericmcgowan1993 if they get fleas there are typically other treatments. Rescued stray kittens that are absolutely infested with fleas may need a bath, and cats with skin conditions who can't groom themselves (due to arthritis or obesity) may also need baths, but those are typically the only exceptions. Everything else can be dealt with via spot cleaning or topical treatments. Bathing generally removes the cat's own oils in the fur, anyway.

    • @GoodMusicManiac999
      @GoodMusicManiac999 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Grooming doesn't need they're clean. First, they can't reach their heads and other body parts, and secondly... after a while they will stink worse than rotten fish! If the cat lives indoor, it is not so pleasant at all.
      I have two outdoor cats and once a week I try to clean them up using wet wipes for cats and dry shampoo. They put up some resistance at first but now they like being pampered.
