I finally got my game back. All that i did is when i got the corrupted data message, instead of deleting the game and trying again, i kept hitting resume and eventually it started downloading normally. It might not work for you, but im just telling you what worked for me. Spread the word

Somewhere between the file or in the WAN it was getting fucked up. So what I did to get it to download was I used a Server Proxy address and port. I set my network to a static address. I also used Google's DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). Keep in mind, if it's your gateway, see if it works on a hot-spot. If the proxy server works, it's not your set up. It also rules out if it's your PS4 or not. Proxy servers can sometimes go down so make sure you pick a good proxy. Also you might have to switch to another proxy server if the connection fails. Just pause your download and change to another server. I did get a new error while doing this, but it was because the server I was using lost connection. I just changed servers and tried again. It took a little longer, but eventually it did fully download for me.

I suggest trying the same thing to rule out weather it is your system or internet connection. If the proxy works it might be your connection. If it does not download it might be your system. Keep in mind some servers are shitty connections and might be slow or not reliable. So try a couple of them until you see the download start.
If this does not work for you then it might be your system's Operating System, file system, or Hard Drive. I suggest if this is the case to call Sony and they will walk you threw a system restore. If this also does not work it might be your Hard Drive.

Honestly i think i figured out how ps4 works with its updates and downloads. Basically what it needs is that, lets say the game is 64.53GB. All you need to do is that, you need to clear your storage so that it will either have more or equal storage to the game. Not even kidding, took me hours to figure out why I can't update the nee CoD. I EVEN DELETED IT🥴 and now im just waiting for the entire game to download which takes more than 10hrs judging by your internet speed😬

no it doesnt remove purchased games, all you have to know is the email and password to the account that you bought the games with.

not a clean or clear fix, but I just restarted my PS4 and tried to resume the download around 4 or 5 times and eventually it worked.
