    Look, I admire the effort put into this film (even if you don't make the film, packaging, distributing and marketing it is still a tonne of work) but man... There are only two 400 speed film stocks currently made in Germany - Filmotec/Inoviscoat P400 (most commonly sold as Bergger Pancro 400) and Filmotec/Inoviscoat N74 (also known as ORWO N74 or Lomography Berlin Kino 400). Both films have plenty of developing recipes out there, including properly tested ones from Bergger and Lomography. So why the whole 'oh only we can develop this film right now and later only our magic developer will be able to make it sing for home developers' thing? Comes across a wee bit dishonest.

      Thanks for your thoughtful feedback, it's always appreciated.
      My goal with these videos is to educate to the best I can. At the moment of researching and recording this video, I relayed the information given to me by the lab.
      As I mentioned in the video, time tables are in the works for traditional developers. It is a very small, homegrown lab with 2 employees and as you mentioned it is a lot of work.
      Because this particular film is sold at 1600 instead of the base 400, dev times for common developers aren't available at the ready. Out of the stocks you listed, only Pancro 400 is the only one with dev times for 1600 on Massive Dev.
      It is a relatively "new" product and isn't widely distributed like Berger, Orwo, or Kino. So the purpose of this review was to show people that come across this film what they could expect in terms of results and processing.
      I don't think there was anything dishonest portrayed through the video. With that being said, thank you for watching and I do appreciate your comment.

      @@eguanzon17 Oh I got no beef with your video - quality stuff and nice shots! It's the lab/brand of the film and their marketing strategy that I have some reservations about...

      @@eguanzon17 Btw ORWO N74+ and N75 also have 1600 recipes on MDC 😉

    Dope video, great photos too bro. I’m in New Zealand so the films a bit out of the question but had a great time watching 📷

      Thanks so much for watching Matt! I really appreciate it. It reminds me of Kodak P3200 so if you want a similar film stock, you might wanna give that a shot 📸

    Really love the look of this. Kind of reminds me of a blend of Tri-X & CinestillXX

    I can almost bet that this would develop just fine in rodinal stand development at one hour.

    So this is ORWO 400 pushed to 1600 but can only be developed by them?
    Have you pushed ORWO 400 film to 1600 and develop in a common development and see if it’s similar

    • @eguanzon17
      @eguanzon17  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am unsure if it is in fact ORWO 400 as the film rebate is blank.
      I have not shot ORWO 400 before so I don't have the answer to that. It seems to be either sold-out everywhere or no longer in production.
      But if you end up pushing orwo to 1600, let me know! I'd be curious to see your results!
