Thank you! Just got my MF753, but there was no place for port number - seems like they've moved it to another screen now Use Remote UI from a computer. On the operation panel, select [Menu] in the [Home] screen, and then select [Preferences] to configure the settings. [Port Number Settings] Administrator privileges are required. The machine must be restarted to apply the settings.
On top of doing this I was still getting an error. On my image class printer the smtp port setting was not on this screen as shown in the video. The setting is burried in another menu. I found it under the preferences menu: network settings: port number settings. And I changed the SMTP port to 587 and it now works like a charm... Now Im going to do on my printer at work.
Thx a lot mate!! 🙏🏻 Ive used hotmail for over a year without issue, then out of nowhere i get error 839. Ive tried to use gmail, but still didnt work (error 806). i still cant use hotmail but at least with your gmail method i can use scan to mail again!
I have a Conon Maxify printer, I check the email connection with a computer UI to the printer it passes the connection but when I try and send a scan to email from the printer it comes up with Error code 3419 or 3423 failed to connect . any advice?
My back office does not look like what is on the screen, so I cannot get to the listed steps. I am using a MB2720 Canon model. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
