To bad all that crud ends up growing on everything. Is it common to get narcosis from diving where you get disoriented and past out, I was possibly interested in diving some day. Should you always dive with someone, is it safe to dive alone?

Many of our dives are not that deep (less than 60 feet) and when we do go deeper, we don't stay that long there. So this minimizes narcosis for us. If you are not sure whether you want to get certified or not, try a Discover Scuba session which is basically where you try out scuba gear in a pool to see if you might like it. Most dives we usually dive with others but some of us have dived alone if in shallow areas that we know quite well.
