I really love how you structured this video, giving the viewer an opportunity to picture a video in their head along with your song, as you can imagine, that really captured my interest haha. I saw you walking up to a door at night in the rain, knocking on it and then it showing you walking away looking sad when the door is unanswered, and singing on the street as it cuts to the person you’re singing to inside the house who is unaware of you are there and then back to you, as if like a last goodbye before you move on and walk away. And cuts in and out to flashbacks of happy memories of you and the other person before that night.
Such beautiful visuals in there! Thanks so much for the feedback. I have been meaning to get back to this project but haven't found the time yet. Hopefully soon!
AWESOME! Looking forward to the rest of the series, I really enjoyed your other music vids so really interested to see the process and hopefully get some ideas for doing one or two of my own. I do have a concept for one of mine but am not willing to put a butterfly in a spiderweb and film the struggle (song is called Buttterfly Spiderweb), was hoping to find an animator who may be able to help with that particular project.
Thanks for the comment Lincoln! (Sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you!). That sounds like an amazing idea for a music video, but i'm with you there on not feeling comfortable doing that. Have you ever tried fivver.com or freelancer.com? They can be pretty hit and miss but I have had some good experiences with animators on there. Just a thought!
I spend hours writing, recording, producing songs, followed by my own crappy videos, only for no one to ever see or hear them 😂 I really liked your song! I loved that you didn’t Autotune it!
Hi Elise, Thx for this video! Would love to see more advice like that! Any music videos of you I can watch? Would be glad to connect with you via TH-cam, so if you’d like, check Oli Astral as well. I hope you find something interesting there. Anyway, Great stuff, I’ll definitely ring the bell on your channel! Regards Olivier (Canada)
Hey Oliver! Thanks so much for your comment. I'm always keen to connect with other musicians and creators 🙂 I loved the featured vid on your channel about your music - very well produced! And your guitar playing is beautiful. Hope to stay in touch :-) Oh and here is a link to one of my previous music videos: th-cam.com/video/DZ3nnGUafWU/w-d-xo.html

Still worth putting it out there though! And thanks so much 🙂I like to keep my vocals pretty raw - I find they carry more emotion that way.
Love this video Elise! I saw similar images to what you described but with lots of smoke and doors!!
