- No, you’re not dreaming.
I’m back. Back at one of the best courses ever featured on the channel as well as one that features my sixth-most viewed video of all time. In that video, I was at PipeStone Golf Club in Miamisburg, Ohio, the #17 public course in Ohio as of 2019 and it is currently ranked at #22. As far as municipal courses go, it is at an impressive #3 in the state, bested by only Blue Ash Golf Club and Manakiki Golf Course. Needless to say, I was taking on a beast of a course and couldn’t handle it. I shot an abysmal 45 (+9) leading to an 85 for the day (that I must admit, included a couple of questionable drops and gimmies).
There’s no sugarcoating it. This course ate me alive last time. As of now, 740 of you witnessed that absolute mess. A few comments talking about how poor of a golfer I am have been shot in my direction. While that’s awful for me to hear, I did it to myself. If I want people to respect me and my game, I’ve got to play better. That simple.
That’s the whole idea. Drive almost four hours in late November when nothing in Michigan is open to do one thing: PLAY BETTER. Most people will think I’m crazy, but if you live this game enough, you’ll know that it’s not insanity that drives us golfers; it’s proving our past selves wrong.
This one meant a lot, guys. I hope this one blows up as much as the other one. 👍⚔️

Me: 59 year old who had to give up golf 25 years ago with serious back issues with a USGA handicap of 17, highlighted by 2 hole in ones less than a year apart in 93 and 94. Your game 3 years ago looked similar to mine; much better now. I've also since watched your Captains Club vid, as I lived in Grand Blanc for 3 years as a kid and was familiar with it as I had kept some connection to the area since then. You asked why someone watches your vids. I watched because I wanted to see Pipestone being played as it currently exists. Would be great to see back nine videos as well. P.S....on #2 in the summers, good drives that land right of the fairway centerline can potentially end up in the water on left.
