Many of Pink Floyd's songs are longer than 6 minutes, yet they still went on to become gigantic hits. Are people's attention spans really that low these days?

Nick looks so much healthier then he used to. I love how fast they have managed to build up a really nice memorable discography, they’ve always taken their influences from the past and gave them a cool modern-futuristic twist

I really am admiring their use of influences in the right way and how they've come into their own sound and style in the past few years. Anyway I really dig how so many people are inspired by Bowie and how much impact Bowie has on today's music

Please check out the rest of their work. They are truly one of the best bands around today and deserve so much more recognition than they get.
Its frustrating pond aren’t more well known but I used to think the same about tame impala... then currents was released and now it’s a whole different kinda band wagon. (I like currents but it was obviously targeted at a broader audience)
I sort of hope pond stay under wraps for a little while longer for my greedy enjoyment!
I honestly don't know if they'll ever be that big unfortunately. They have 8 albums now and their last two should've done for them what Currents did for Kevin, and they were much better albums too. They deserve to be stars by now, but I don't think their appeal is as big as Tame's. From a pure music and production standpoint it's top-notch. However, while those of us who are fans may love Nick's vocals and lyrics, I can picture many others not feeling the same way. I think that a lot of people could be put off by some of the political and environmental undertones along with the distinctly Australian references. In Kevin Parker's case, he not only has the benefit of being the mind behind all of Tame's music (whereas Pond is highly collaborative), he's also the producer and mixer for both. One person to focus on may be an easier sell. Not to mention his voice reminds people of John Lennon and his lyrics are more about broken relationships, unrequited love and other personal struggles, topics people will relate to more.
Sorry for the long ass reply lol. I think Pond is overall better but Tame just has a more built-in appeal.

I only found Pond a couple weeks ago after I randomly found ‘Paint Me Silver’ and fell in love instantly. Fell in love with this instantly too. I also love listening to them when I’m smoke a joint.

Nick Allbrook is slowly becoming one of my favorite singers of all time.
It happened pretty quickly for me once I really started getting into them, which was what initially took time for me back in 2016. Once the first few singles from The Weather came out and blew me away, I dived into their entire discography up to that point and fell in love.
This album is everything I wanted to hear at the moment. Thank you, Pond!
