If you like this, there is an amazing set by Suciu curated by Kaufland (write that in youtube). Nobody is able to make it as psychedelic and mindblowing as him in that set. The way he plays with the music there is just something else. I would definitely equate its quality to this Villalobos set, but it is more on the crazy psychedelic mindblowing side while this holds on the artistic and beautiful one.
very true .. one of the few tracks that you need to listen to from start to finish .. ... damn why doesnt itunes let me download it again? do i really have to go through my old HDDs ? :x

I remember there were a lot of copies of this one at vinyl shops back in the days, no one wanted to catch this because it was overhyped, every weekend in every party dj played this so everyone was fed up with this song... Now it's 200 euros on discogs 😭😭😭
Digital DJing is just as "real" for DJs who board 3-5 planes a week to play at parties all over the world. Can't be doing that and hauling around boxes full of vinyls.
sebastian sfeci But is it really? don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that digital DJ's are fake, its just I feel that a vinyl just sounds better and that is where a DJ should learn their trade. Anyone can stand there and play a pre recorded set (Guetta) and wave there hands about, anyone can stand there and use autosync and mix perfectly. You know a good DJ when they are mixing vinyl, there may be little mistakes with mixing and syncing the tracks but this adds to the sound and shows its raw music, none of this computer generated EDM stuff that's floating about at the minute. Also some of the best music is not available digitally, one of the reasons why Troxler prefers vinyl. Also, there is a video around on you tube which shows how much quality is lost when a piece of music is compressed into an MP3, very interesting article actually, you lose a lot of the actual rhythm. Lets forget all this arguing anyway and enjoy the music, that's ultimately what we're all here for. Raw Minimal house music at its Best. Villalobos never fails to amaze!
mason27011993 I agree with everything you said, I just think it's important to take into consideration the logistical difficulties to playing purely vinyl when someones playing, say, Ibiza on a wednesday and Playa del Carmen on a Friday. Obviously in an ideal world this wouldn't be an issue as vinyl definitely sounds and feels more authentic, I just don't think that it's a realistic expectation given the worldwide appeal our beautiful music and the top DJs are enjoying at the moment. Most of my favorite DJs I haven't heard at their residency (except this summer in Ibiza) and I've still loved the parties even though they were mixing digital with a vinyl thrown in here and there for good measure. Obviously the EDM/Big Room scene is a different story, but then again people who go to these parties are not really interested in such nuances as digital vs. analog and just wanna go out and party. And theres nothing wrong with that, it's just a different demographic. I agree though if we want to be pedantic I think EDM shows should be called stage performances rather than DJ mixes, but on the other hand I think they can call them however they want since I don't think it's at all detrimental to our scene. All in all I think it makes for an interesting discussion but I agree, the most important thing is just to enjoy the music we love and let others do the same. Cheers man
I feel like why not just use both (all) tools avalible, Why limit yourself? And I personally think you can tell a good DJ simply by track selection, but that's of course just my opinion
