Another lesson to take in: Even if your boss desperately needs you, you can't let him ruin family. Even if you lose the promotion, it's not your fault it's their fault for pushing you too hard.

Sadly this is the situation alot of parents find themselves in. Parents shouldnt be threatened of getting fired for trying to balance work and family. Also I don't like how parents assume that just because someone doesnt have a husband and kids they dont need time off to have a life. But It's actually the childless employees who are getting the short end of the stick when it comes to flexitime work life balance, time off etc. They deserve time off too.Great video Dhar.

@Sarah Humphreys I know for a fact that a lot of individuals up in mgmt tend to unethically cross the line like this boss character did. Not only did he threaten to fire his employee but he also had no respect for her family's convenience and well being. He even crossed the line IMO when he called her on her vacation day. I say that because legally if it was her regular day off and he called her that's OK, however, to call her on the day her vacation commences is harassment. Mgmt is not suppose to call their employees on their vacation because I repeat its harassment and it is an unethical move that violates company policies within the code of conduct.

"In order to be a good employee, I have to fail as a mom. And in order to be a good mom, I have to fail as an employee."
If someone finds themselves making this statement to themselves over their duties, that's a sign that they shouldn't be at the job they work at. Nobody has the right to make gaslighting demands of you, especially when you're rightfully entitled to some days off.

IN TORMENT FOREVER - now what that means? - you will be in the fire - BURNING AND NOT DYING and also you will be in REGRET, being sorry yet knowing that you will never be forgiven.

There’s a saying, “It’s better to be alone than to be with someone who makes you feel alone.”
That doesn’t just apply to significant others. There’s nothing worse than to have a parent that is never around because he/she is always putting work over you. The girl probably would have been happier if she had just lived with her dad. At least she wouldn’t be getting her hopes up all the time.
Even when my parents split up, they still made sure to spend quality time with me. You cannot use work as an excuse to constantly blow your child off.

Ngl this is one of Dhar Mann's actually good videos honestly-
Because some or even a lot of parents, due to having to provide for their family have to work all the time and that can sometimes end with them neglecting their child. Which can kind of cause trauma for some kids because it's kind of like growing up with only 1 parent either only with a mom or a dad. Or even at worse, you growing up with no parents because they are busy. Which again. Can actually cause trauma for some kids because they don't have their parental guardians with them to teach them, feed them, help them and protect them. Which does sadden me.

Thanks so much for teaching us that there should always be a balance between work and life, because think about it, if you always stick to work 24/7, then you will never have any real quality time to have with your family, it would be like being held captive, almost, so the moral of the story is essentially a work-life balance. Everything should always be balanced, so as a result, too much of anything is never good. You and all of your talented actors should keep it up with the amazing acting, and as we (your audience) always tell you, thank you guys for telling stories and changing lives, I cannot thank you guys enough, much appreciation to you guys, max respect, keep pushing to help people with their lives, us included, peace to all of you, God bless.

I agree about having a healthy work life balance. I won’t say what I do, my pay, or where I work, but I will say that where I work each person gets 20 paid vacation days a year and we’re actually required to use at least 10 of them.

This explains why unless the mama hires a nanny as an option might make her think in the first place.
