Town-homes are fine as they're USUALLY cheaper than single-family/detached homes, and often what people look for as a Starter Home. But these are way overpriced, even if that's just a reflection of the still-insane inflated housing market in CO (and some other states). Yes, I know it's expensive Denver CO, but that's one reason I'd avoid buying in Denver (or even more expensive Boulder): Wouldn't pay anything near $520K-$580K for one of these zero-lot-line boxes seen here...not to mention the still-too-high mortgage interest rate making the monthly house pay't WAY higher on a home that is overpriced to begin with. What category of home-buyer is this builder targeting? Not MOST buyers, that's for sure... Of course, I realize there are lots of people in CO (or moving in from more expensive states) who are very well off $$-wise, so it's no big deal for them paying that much cash/up-front (interest rates are irrelevant then), but for most of us it is. So I have to ask: If buyers can afford to pay cash for one of these zero-lot-line "stackables," why not just get a single-family/detached home instead with at least some yard? I know I would. Whatever, for MOST of us presently -- especially those of us needing to carry a mortgage -- it's still NOT the time to buy. Still a Sellers Market in many cities, and from is seen here it seems Denver is still one of them. -- BR
Thanks for the comment Bill. I'm a huge fan of townhomes, great for starter homes and anyone who doesn't own livestock. They're definitely not overpriced for Denver. Location influences housing cost more than any other factor and Denver is pretty expensive. I appreciate you watching. Cheers!
@@LivingInColorado5280 Yes, Denver is...which is one reason I'd be looking at town-homes (or carriage-homes) in Colorado Springs instead. Thanks, -- BR
