Just moved to Denver from Chicago, talk about a culture shock. Am I missing something here because none of the neighborhoods feel like neighborhoods just suburbia with vastly little foot traffic or people out and about. Very odd, would love your opinion

Those beautifully architected and built mansions east of Broadway between Speer Boulevard and 20th Avenue are a testimony of the wealth and vitality Denver has seen in the late 19th Century and the early half of the 20th century. Small little houses next to those mansions resemble the tale of two cities, but actually represent more class integration and collective need to conduct trade and commerce in the Denver area. Denver never turned into an abandoned little town or neighborhood like in many places around the country where the entire town depended on one mode of industry. Good for Denver.

Please Don't move to Colorado. It's horrible. Homeless everywhere. It's on fire. Most of the Mountains have either been burnt or bulldozed. All the wild animals have rabies. Crime is rampant, and everyone is stoned 100% of the time. Coffee costs or 25$ a cup at 7-Eleven. You will need a loan at Starbucks.

None of them are affordable. Stay away. You've been warned. State has turned into a garbage pile. Save yourself.

Grand Junction is a shit hole now. What was a genuine rural community with an incredible canal system for irrigation and incredible views and a friendly vibe and a small college, was supplanted by the progressive agenda designed to appeal to people who are indifferent to the history and personality of the town. Now, aside from the pretentious winery events and superficial bike riders, Grand Junction is now home to more crime, more drugs, gang activity and homelessness. And after some of the towns you listed, ( Pueblo, really!!?? ) I think I will take any realtor speak you spew with the smallest grain of salt.

What would you say the average person does for work in CO? CO is on the list of states I may move to in the next year or two but out of all the states I’ve looked at CO makes the least sense. It’s a fairly expensive state (even for some of the dumpy looking apartments), but when I look online for jobs there’s not much going on aside from retail/fast food and some specialized jobs. How do folks make it happen in CO? Is everyone in tech or an influencer working from home?
