La Mesa is my home town, SD native born and raised.
Mark A’s mom was my elementary school teacher!!
La Mesa is special because as the world changes, La Mesa stays the same.

Was the best back in the 60s, early 70s. After Eastridge was bulldozed, developed, where we used to go, riding, walking, sightseeing, Fri. nights overlooking Helix, I said that's it, never coming back.

I lived in La Mesa in 1985. We rented a 2 bedroom house with full back yard and garage on Dallas St for $600 a month. I have good memories of the place, it's changed a lot. I graduated Helix HS

      Good ole’ La Torta.
In the mid ‘80s, Los Panchos was awesome too!

Great story. In all those shots of Windsor Hill I couldn't spot the house my boyfriend and I owned on Pasadena. Could it be they removed the cantilever swimming pool? Time to take a drive.

Most people who lived in La Mesa(or East County) during the 1980s, and 1990s are either Dead or have moved away. Its also much more crowded and diversified then it used to be 25 years ago.

I was there in the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s. My hometown. I moved away but I’m back in SD now.

Skateboarding on La Mesa sidewalks is illegal and punishable by severe fines and possible jail time.😡🚔

MMMM.. MAYBE IN 1987.. Apparently, now you can loot, riot, destroy, burn vehicles , buildings and officers and not be accountable at all.. in fact make millions of dollars.
