Naka has proved his speed skills, so he's bullet goat and blitz arguably best at the moment thanks to how fast he is not only with the mouse but with brain. He's fast, he flows pretty faster than anybody. Magnus is a bit stronger in rapid and classical, but Naka speed can make Magnus blunder. Thats exactly what i saw in 5+1 in their 2021SCC final match
I am really curious. For now Magnus concentrated on longer time controls and saw shorter ones more as a gimmick. But after being beaten by Hikaru more than once I think he changed his focus and wants to dominate bullet too. His bullet form was never this good. I am really looking forward to the finals. I think Magnus improved, but will it be enough? It really is Magnus and Hikaru then no one for quit some time. then Alireza and a few other youngsters maybe. @@joshs7160

Its crazy, So was playing 90% accuracy and still got destroyed. You really need 95% and above accuracy just to have a fighting chance against a well conditionaed Magnus
I have watched at least 5 matchups in this event, and with just one exception, they all got one sided in first two hours, and the last two hours were not competitive and just uncomfortable for everyone. Maybe the longer games should be worth more points, or the duration of the segments should be shorter.

After having stepped down from the "World Champion" thingy - having won and defended it FIVE times - he ALSO recently won the World Cup - "The" title he missed so far. I hate to be a hater but Danny Rensch is unwatchable as a commentator - goes between unfunny vague anecdotes, to cringe suck ups to Danya, and constant attempts to make banter. Comes across as someone very uncomfortable in their own skin. I'm sure he's a great business person and he's obviously a great chess player - but he's horrible at commentary. Danya and Hess are the best, also like Simon Williams and Aman, but really anyone other than Rensch.
