Spider Pug I'd have to disagree. Personally (when allowed) I run a smaller mega pistol modded to work with "normal" darts. This does a solid 60-70fps, is quiet because it's a springer, and has a nice larger grip

I kind of find it hilarious that this is actually MORE practical than the dreadbolt really considering the fire rate is no slower and It's 1/8 the size. That's like if a hammershot was better than a rapidstrike.

hey coop i just wanted to say that im ten and that u have been a HUGE part of my childhood and giving me alot of knolege about nerf like its a magazine not a clip
This could be actually used in a nerf war as a second sidearm when you just want that sweet ninjakill because it is so silent.
When my friends and I are playing nerf games, sometimes one of us (usually me) will choose the game type as "medieval warfare," rather than just "swordplay," allowing the use of one of the nerf bows or crossbow for superior range.
What I'm getting at is that the nerf bows and crossbows are useful if you're playing a medieval style gameplay.

I personally run a single Doublestrike and a sword for night battles for that, but I'm genuinely considering picking it up for the arrow whistle as a way to feint attack directions.

Coop, you fool! There is one more "bolt launcher" in the crossbow style you reviewed, the rebelle courage. It got roughly 55fps average on the chrono.
You acknowledged that Rebelle has arrow launchers and showed some Rebelle arrows, but you dont have any of the blasters? Huh...

Coop , i really like this skin of the jolt , but the bigger one is cooler
Just picked it up at Walmart for $9.95, this little thing has more power than I expected. Can easily get 40ft shots with decent accuracy. Aim it at an angle and I'm getting close to 100ft range with it, not bad for $10. Also it does have little grooves on the bottom to store your bolts in.

Aaaaand bought. I play a sniper/support class in HVZs, and i'm currently using an Alphahawk as my primary, but THAT thing is noisy as f*** but THIS is JUST under the 70FPS par, but it's just sooo amazingly quiet. I'll just maybe 3D print a bipod and stock.

it'd be cool if the dreadbolt had some kind of hopper/magazine so you could have a decent rate of fire.
DoitForTheLolz1 how would you have a magazine for arrows? And how would you auto load the next round for a stringer?
if its a hopper or magazine with some kind of trap door you could just have it open when the string is primed back. not saying it would be easy, but theoretically possible. a clip design might work better now that I'm thinking about it.

These arrows have good range and are pretty quiet so I can actually see this tiny thing being useful for certain purposes. Like needing something to just out range someone really quick

If you fill the tiny hole of the arrows, you can get rid of the whistling, making it an almost silent blaster. Good for taking guys out one at a time

Hey, Frank! In the video, you said there wasn’t any place to store “arrows” on the blaster, but I that is incorrect. I respectfully call out your error. There are two notches on the bottom of the blaster to hold two bolts. The notches are at the front of the blaster, in front of the “saw blade.” They’re easy to miss. I accidentally came across them. When I saw one of the notches, I thought, “Hmmm... I think I can fit a bolt in there.” I tried it, then violà! It worked! Within a minute, I noticed a second notch. There are two notches to store the two included bolts.
Also, my assumption as to why Hasbro did not add a tacticool rail on the top is that it would be difficult to prime back the string if there was an optic. The optic would get in the way of priming the blaster. That’s my guess. I still would have liked to see one. If they had a rail there and you had an optic, you could prime it by pulling the string on one side pulling the string back and brining your hand past the optic, but the string would still need pulled slightly on the other side. So, you could then reach your finger over the blaster to pull back the other side of the string to lock it back. It would be a bit slower with an optic, but whatever, this isn’t meant to a be “war” effective blaster anyways. Hopefully I clearly explained the process of priming the blaster if there was an optic.. probably not. 😅 I hope this was informative.

This thing does have storage for two bolts. There are a couple of notches just in front of the saw blade that they slot into. Makes it slightly better.

Well, it's not, really. Maybe in that it fires one at a time and is front loaded. But it's a stringer and launches bolts. The only blatant jolt reskins I can think of are all those micro-shots (is that what they're called?)

considering it's size and silence, it's definitely the most useful bow. i'm also curious if it's precise enough to out-range other blasters as well. now what i really want to see, is how far it'll go if you taped one of the grenades to the bolt so when it collides, it explodes. (then again, that could get dangerous with hard plastic)
