From a Dalian native: Actually the best season is from late august to early october, where trees are green and ocean is blue and weather is not so hot. Thanks for your video and hope you can come again some time!
I had always wanted to visit Dalian, and had several people recommend it to me over the years while I lived in China. Thanks for giving me a peek. Related to that Venice style area, outside of Tianjin is Florentia Village in Wuqin, off the high speed rail line. Smaller, similar concept, except it is an outlet mall. Fortunately, it gets a lot of regular traffic and is full of shops. Worth a day trip.
I visit Dalian in 2018, very Nice City, I will visit the City again, maybe already this autumn, its so many places I want to visit in China, but Im already a old man
Mate, I love it.impressive :) You are very brave. Despite all warnings from the medias not to take ‘risk’ coming to China ,China is probably one of the safest place on earth. Over here you will see friendly people, who want to take pictures with you, superb infrastructure, very conveniences to go around from city to city.China's Civic Infrastructures are 100 years ahead of any other country, and the Civic Services are so cheap/free that they do not need much money to live a good comfortable Middle Class life styles. it was NOTHING like what we've been brainwashed to believe in the West.
I've had shrimp chips before. Colorful ones. Tasty. Koreans and Japanese make shrimp chip snacks too. You can find shrimp chips in supermarkets. The fake Venice looks like deja vu all over again. Wasn't it in another video? You should show us what the northeast is like in the summer. Thanks.
Yeah, shrimp chips ain't bad (especially with a cold beer) 🍻. And no, you aren't imagining things - I went ahead and added that Fake Venice in there to make the video a bit more comprehensive. Once summer comes I'll be out and about - loads of adventures coming! :)
Im here now, and it’s hot as hell. I went to BoBos last night (Tuesday) and it’s dead, but it looked nice. I’ll go back on a Friday or Sat night to support. The problem is, there’s a Lawson right next door with 5rmb beer.. However (!) I have found a great bar called “Keep Summer” which actually has atmosphere, music, and some people - and the beer is cheap. It’s on the beach at Laohutan (one bay east of Fisherman’s Wharf). Enjoy.
Thanks. Yeah, I watched the Venice area being built years ago . I wondered then whether it would fill up, and I’m still wondering. It reminds me of that Movie Inception whenever I’m there. Great video on the ‘third Korea’. I just got back from Dandong - the Great Wall section there is amazing and empty - but don’t tell anyone! Keep the north east China films coming. They are really good.
@@chopsticksandtrains I had to show my passport to get the train ticket (like any China train tickets), but that was it. Another good Dalian thing to do is get the ferry to Changhai County (load of small islands off the coast). Get a taxi to Pikou Port, then a ferry to the islands (ferries are about ever 30mins) - recommend starting with Dachanstan island. The islands are great, empty and wild, tons of beaches to yourself - strongly recommend for the adventurous (good day adventure). Again you need to show your passport to get on the ferry. Cheers
This place needs some saunas, hot springs or swimming pools for the cold winters and indoor waterslides, casinos with indoor gondolas like in Macau and enclosed malls.
