RIP Joe Osborn! (8/28/37-12/14/18). So many, many records I grew up enjoying you were involved in recording. What a legacy. Also, this is a great interview.
Joe Osborn thanks to you guys of the Wrecking Crew grew up hearing all of you and didn't know names or anything about all of you. Besides the Funk Bro you guys are the best band ever. have a question for you do you know any thing about the musicians who played for Curtis Mayfield when Major Lance was recording they Rocked but can't find any thing about them thanks again
***** if you want a WOW, if you haven't seen or heard a young kid named Avery Drummand who playes drums started at about 3 he ROCKS and he has so much fun doing it
Jennifur - I'm a big fan of early to mid 60's Curtis Mayfield/Major Lance catalog . While trying to find anything out about the GREAT Rhythm section, I found an article that said there was a Tour Bus accident in the 60's that a few members didn't survive. The Bass Player and Drummer were among them. Very sad.
I worked w/ 'Sinatra' & 'Bob Hope' & 'Bacharach' & 'D. Warwick' & 'Harry Nilson/Beatles' & 'M. Jackson' > many other Mega Stars & Film Scores in L.A. > WISH I had worked w/ CARPENTERS! Karen Melts your Heart! IT WAS & IS > ALL SUPERNATURAL / SPIRITUAL BY GOD then & 50+ Years!

oh wow. must have been another drummer, because a lot of people told me it was the late M White(think i got his first initial right)
I can always spot Joe Osborn's playing on the old Wrecking Crew backing tracks. He had a tone with the pick that was that Kaye didn't have

It's been almost 40 years and I still really miss Karen Carpenter.
The kid is 19 now
This interviewer is horrible! While I want to hear Joe Osborn, the guy’s voice and questions are irritating.
This has got to be the worst, The absolute worst interviewer I’ve ever heard in my life.
