Now moving into Stage 5 you're going to be dealing with enemies firing some seriously detailed attacks. You won't be able to always zip up right by all of them for extra wish items and bonus damage anymore; rather you're going to have to pick your battles here. Do it when you can but don't try doing it to every fairy.
The mid-boss you fight depends on who you've chosen as a playable character. However they all have the same thing in common is that they naturally have the same theming as Nezu herself. In that, don't trust a damn thing she fires at you; be prepared for something surprising to happen.
On that note, Nezu is a very tricky boss. She's a kitsune so it should be expected that she'll fire some suitably tricky danmaku at you, and this lives up to it that's for sure. Be prepared for attacks that are distracting, hard to read, and transform suddenly doing completely different things from what you expected.

Nezu's theme is by far my favorite song in the game. It just sounds so majestic and intense, it feels like it should've been the final boss theme instead.
Sanae's naïveté is adorable. What's even better is that she accidentally called Nezu out on it by saying "fukitsune" (~how unfortunate) in the original japanese, which is an accidental pun that Nezu thought was intentional.
This clearly means Sanae is the best incident solver. Ever. After all, isn't it better to be lucky than good? =P

Nezu is such a bad imitator, she messed up Marisa's "Move and I'll shoot!" phrase.

The original phrase was "Move and I'll shoot!", which Nezu got right on the first try, but then she "corrected" herself by saying "Shoot and I'll move!", which is what Marisa accidentally said in Imperishable Night.

Actually, Marisa corrects herself too, if I'm not mistaken. (Looks up)
Marisa: "Move and I'll shoot!"
"I messed up. I mean, shoot and I'll move. Right away."
This would mean the "Move and I'll shoot" was the mistake.

I appreciate how Nezu uses ice magic with Marisa's transformation. You know, since that's her actual elemental affinity, not fire and light like Marisa uses all the time. (According to Patchouli and Futo's analyses at least)
Wait, is that why Marisa is the winter shot in HSiFS and not Cirno?

Though seriously, I hate those two talisman attacks
They're quite annoying. From what I've gathered you kinda just want to let the bullets dodge you and hold your ground, but that second talisman attack gets me too. The lanes are really weird.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of Von Karma.
Ah, for Nezu's nons, you kind of have to flow with it? It's weird - but like, for her second one, you move in the opposite direction the familiars are, and you can just come out the other side, usually
For the last spell you can just move to the left and right to misdirect the fire while staying on the other side.
The large fairy at 1:08 is by far my favourite stage enemy type in the entire game, and it only appears once in normal play. It can show up if you kill Nezu midboss fast enough, but that practically requires bombing both patterns immediately...
Milka actually tweeted out a while back that one of the more clever lines in Sanae's scenario was translated wonderfully. Sanae, right before Nezu reveals her true self, says 不吉ね, which is "fukitsune", unintentionally saying the word "kitsune", making Nezu think Sanae knew all along. On the TouhouWiki translations, it was translated as "Oh my, I've been outfoxed!"
I guess I'll take this chance to ask you how your experience with the HSoB demo has been?...and if you ended up playing it, which gem would you take?
If you though Stage 3 had amazing visuals, wait until next time...

I think your problems with Nezu's two talisman nonspells were you moving a little too soon.
The path you were taking was the right one, though. That I'm sure of.
@MegamanOmega Is this patch a complete English patch by the time you made this run? Since it's November now, I was wondering if the game will be having a complete patch and translation by the team working on this game. I was itching to play but I really wanna wait until the game truly finished being translated and patched. I even checked the latest patch in Mediafire from the forum too. It was uploaded on 2018/8/2, so I have no idea if that was a completed version of the patched game or not. Can you give some feedback on this? I really appreciate your effort! 😁

Depends on the game, but sometimes you can either find an english patch of the game or just find the translations of the Touhou wiki
Omega, any comment on the HSOB demo? Dou you think it's promising?
